Japanese.
Maitake mushroom, nahm prik num, truffle oil, brown butter, pine nut, fried garlic and spring onion.
My favourite dish during our visit, the nahm prik num got a slight mint taste which very nice.
This might not be everyone favourite, but this crispy chicken skin just nice to pair with ice cold sapporo beer
Forgot about using fork and knife, use the disposable glove that provided to enjoy ribs at it best
Yep, roasted pork from a modern Japanese restaurant. Succulent pork belly with crispy skin.
Shabu shabu with a twist at this modern Japanese restaurant in Bangsar. The new menu feature more pork dishes.
Start with heating up the sake, follow by the flame before adding in the superior pork broth. The rich broth go so well with the pork belly slice and vegetable. Really love this dishes
The always crowded hotpot place in the starling mall, uptown.
There are 4 types of soup base available for your choice. Shabu shabu, sukiyaki, kimuchi or miso base. We had shabu shabu the clear soup and sukiyaki the sweet soy base as our choice.
Beef, lamb, pork and chicken available for order. While from the self service buffet, there are veg, mushroom, beancurd, prawn and clams that you can help yourself with.
As you can tell from the restaurant name, small range of sushi is available from the buffet line as well.
Dinner at 39.9 per pax, I guess this explain why it's always crowded.
Lunch set promotion with this spicy pork don that come with chawanmushi, potato salad, roast chicken stick, miso soup and fresh fruit.
A fresh egg topped on the pork that suppose to mixed together before enjoy it.
The new lunch menu is quite value for money. A bowl of chirashi don filled with assorted sashimi, chicken skewer, miso soup, side dish, fruit and also a chawanmushi that's not in frame.
They running a promotion that with every purchase of 5lunch set, you get a set for free.
First of all, I visited my town outlet instead of midvalley outlet.
It's been a while since I last visit kodawari menya, I didn't realize it's no longer a self service restaurant. I had the dried udon with minced meat with additional tempura fish and onsen egg as my lunch.
The service is very friendly. My tempura turn out still hot and crunchy as they only fried when you order compare to previously they pre-fried it.
The noodle still remain the chewy texture that I like and egg wad perfectly cook too. Only downside was the minced meat was slightly on the salty side.
Sorry for the raw meat, that's the only photo I have cause I was busy enjoy my food.
One of my favourite place to go for yakiniku, very simple menu with limited selection but it just happen to be our favourite.
My top favourite item definitely is the beef tougue. The soft texture. Yum
Yazawa BBQ dining Solaris mont kiara.
So happy on the reopening of my favourite place for poke bowl. It moved to a new location which just opposite of the previous location, offer a wider variety of selection such as quinoa as replacement for rice, seared chicken and salmon for those who don't prefer raw fish.
The rice is now warm which perfect for those who don't like cold rice (But I personally prefer the refreshing of cold rice)
The new location is bright and spacious, sharing a space with room203 that served decent and affordable coffee. Oh ya, room 203 is now serving cake and pastry from good ground bakery too.
Hamburg steak, fluffy egg, fries and roasted vegetable. Wasn't having any luck on what we ordered. Probably the worst I've ever had.
The patty doesn't taste very fresh and had an unpleasant smell. I had less than 20% of it and decided give up.
Fluffy egg on the other hand as per describe, just hope it was slightly season for better taste.
