the gyozas and chicken karage was like any typical fried food and nothing worth mentioning.
As unusual as it may sound, this ramen’s broth is made from sardine. While I was a little apprehensive at the start, the taste was not pungent like I thought it’d be and was fairly decent though it’s not something I will try again.
A rich, fatty and hearty soup to end of the night and warm us up for our walk in the snow back to the Airbnb.
Here’s the original royal snow ice cream made for the Emperor of Japan. Having had so many soft serves, I’m really not used to the ice cream’s texture.
Ice cream fit for a king. Quite literally. The snow royal ice cream here was specially made for the emperor of japan when he visited Hokkaido. The milk used in this ice cream has a high milk fat content of 15.6%, giving it a rich milky flavour without being overly sweet. Ordered myself a caramel parfait as well as the original ice cream to try out and though both are great, I still prefer soft serve in general
This did not taste as good as it looks. But nonetheless, still a comforting bowl for the bitter cold.
Shaking in mah Timberland boots in these sub zero temperatures to take this photo. Definitely worth it.
Can finally take my time to savour the ice cream without worrying it causing a mess because it doesn’t melt in this weather ❄️
Been living the tourist foodie life the past couple days and thought my palate, stomach and mind cannot be anymore impressed but boy was I wrong. This soup curry may look simple but it is deceptively decadent. Definitely worth my 1.5 hours wait in the cold winter for this! Side track a little, I’m not exactly willing to queue for food in SG but I kept queuing for them here in Japan 🤷🏼♀️
What a luxurious treat indeed! Felt so guilty after drinking it I don’t know how I’m going to detox my body from all these heavenly food I’ve been blessed with.
Dapao-ed this back to my Airbnb for supper 👍🏼 how not to get fat in japan halp
Got me some melon along the roadside of the seafood market and because it’s winter, it tasted like it just came out from the fridge. Icy cold and amazingly sweet, it was the perfect snack after a very satisfying seafood meal. The stall owner saw me eating at one corner and invited me to stand in front of the heater to get some warmth. That gesture alone was enough to warm my heart HAHAHA CHEYYY okay bye
