this place needs no introduction. if you’re looking for a place for a celebration, get together with loved ones, this is the place to be. amazing service crew, top ambience, food was simply delicious needless to say. second consecutive year i chose to celebrate my birthday here😍

the place is very small so if u suay or a big grp u may have to wait long long. service was really fast so its actually how fast/slow the customers eat. portion of lobster is quite ok, the buns are soft and well buttered. the mayo sauce so-so. i guess i still miss having these in osaka.

1. Wagyu burger with fries ($38)
The bun is super soft and fluffy - not soggy at all after a 1 hour journey. The patties are huge, not dry and tasty. I wish they would have omit the tomatoes though and use another sauce for the burger.

The fries are chunky, nicely fried and salted and the sauce is delicious - it tasted like a slightly spicy southwest sauce. A tasty burger and fries but I wouldn’t pay $38 for it again though.

2. Cheesecake ($16 - complimentary with >$50 spent if you opt for pickup)
Not the best for me. Reminds me more of a Japanese cakey cheesecake than creamy american cheesecake. It has a savoury cheesy taste but I didn’t really enjoy the texture.

Good lobster roll! Go for original lobster roll instead. The unit and caviar just did not make the roll stand out more than it already was on its own.

1.5 lb lobster was good option for those who want to get their hand busy with flesh extraction.

With the Shake Stack, we had “both” the cheeseburger and Shroom portobello in 1 burger. The textures were great although we would rate this was a good fast food but not gourmet burger. The crinkle fries were good too with or without the cheese.
Those who like to end their meal with desserts would probably not miss the Shake Attack frozen custard, or simply a thicker soft serve as they’d explain. The chunky chocolate bites inside were a great joy.
Exclusively at Jewel, they also offered the Pandan milkshake which was so thick it tasted almost like another dessert. But it was pretty sweet even for 2 to share.
Of cos, with their 2nd outlet opening at Neil Road, many will not have to go all the way to airport for it.

Naked Finn seems to be the place known to serve one of the best lobster rolls in Singapore.

Available only during lunch, this Connecticut-style lobster came with 90g of grilled lobster meat with unsalted butter and a choice of crème fraîche or house-made mayonnaise. I prefer the crème fraîche as it was lighter, so that I could taste the natural sweetness of the lobster. This also served with locally-farmed mesclun salad and shoestring truffle fries.

Rather small portion yet pretty filing due to the fresh avocados and cheese. This was about $16.50++ 😋

The "lightness" of this steak sandwich will certainly get you feeling great about this indulgence. The ciabatta used is a fluffier, less dense type. The steak is flavourful and simply sandwiched along with romaine and a buttery dressing. Good food doesn't have to be more complicated than this.

An Orchard Road institution, I have been coming here on and off for more than 15 years (yes, when the cheapest cut, sirloin, cost only $40 until today's $60 😥). Unlike most places they have actually maintained their standards throughout the years, always serving up a tender, perfectly grilled steak in tasty Japanese style marinade, which you can slather with herb butter. They are also consistent with doneness despite the added complexity of the hot plate which continues cooking the meat after it has been served. Add a very reasonable $15 for the set, which comprises a very filling repertoire of appetiser, soup, salad and dessert. Despite the formal setting I would not consider this fine dining (I call it my favourite fake high class resto), but a solid steakhouse which I would even brave the horrible takashimaya parking situation for. If you like your beef fatty like I do, go for the ribeye.

This Atlantic Lobster Tail is an add-on appetizer available for a limited time only. It was exquisitely succulent and the olive oil gave the firm lobster meat an extra boost of smoothness and aroma. 😙 Something good to enjoy while waiting for my steak to be served.

Other add-on appetizers include oven baked Pacific oysters, traditional lump crab cake and pan seared Hokkaido scallops & shrimps.
