Thanks to @burpple Burpple Beyond, I managed to enjoy a 1-for-1 deal! ✨ Flavours chosen: Earl grey lavender (premium), Kyoto Matcha (premium), Charcoal Vanilla, Thai Milk tea (ranking in order of my personal preference). Really love the earl grey lavender for its robust, lingering floral aroma and the Kyoto matcha for its jasmine-like fragrance- though I would prefer if there was a more intense earthy, bitter undertone that was lacking greatly here. The charcoal vanilla caught me by pleasant surprise, which had subtle woody, roasted undertone amidst it’s milky flavour profile. Texture of ice cream here is smooth, creamy with a melt-in-the mouth texture that I adore. While these homemade scoops of delight were a great satisfaction to the palate and combat to the scorching weather,I am afraid to admit I can’t say so for the waffles though. Exterior could have been more crisp and the interior was too soft and limpy for my liking. In addition, the batter lacked the characteristic buttery fragrance and carried off a bizzare lingering bitter aftertaste that seemed to suggest staleness. Much improvement needed for the waffles indeed; or perhaps the standard is inconsistent as I have chanced upon a few positive reviews online for it. My personal recommendation would be to come here just for the ice cream instead! 🍨 .

You’ll definitely feel less guilty having this delicious dessert because the JUJU bowls are 100% plant based and refined sugar free! There’s a wide variety of toppings such as organic peanut butter, cacao nibs and mulberries/goji berries too.

Stack of chocolate pancakes served with chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips sprinkles, sliced strawberries before drizzle on with homemade chocolate sauce and icing sugar. It get slightly dry toward the end, so best if they can serve with chocolate sauce dip on side.

Sometimes all you need is pretty waffles on a quiet afternoon by the marina bay. Also looking pretty here is the Suzette Signature Iced Tea ($8) filled with passionfruit jelly and strawberries. I love the drink, maybe cos of the jellies!

Run by the same people behind Strangers Reunion, waffles and coffee served here are familiar for most of us.

They revamped their menu some time back and dark chocolate and ferrero make up one of their most recent creations. Both flavors mixed well making the ice cream not jelat. I prefer their waffle to their sister outlet's as I feel that it is more dense.

Their freshly churned ice cream is consistently good, and we like how they often introduce seasonal flavours to keep things fresh. They have several knockout flavours on their regular menu, with Roasted Pistachio ($4.50) and Earl Grey Lavender ($3.50) topping the list of the Burpple community's favourites. Ice cream here starts from $3.50 a scoop, with premium flavours going at $4.50 a scoop. If it's available, don't hesitate to have a scoop of the Peanut Butter and Jelly ($4.50), which hits the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Consider getting their fluffy Waffle ($9 with a scoop of ice cream), which soaks up the ice cream perfectly while remaining crisp around the edges. Pro tip: They are opening a new outlet in Tiong Bahru in the fourth quarter of the year — we can't wait!

Just next to ABC Market in Bukit Merah, this gelato parlour serves up some interesting flavours, and we love how homey and cosy the space is — great for resting your legs after a shopping spree at the nearby IKEA. We like the Pistachio ($3.90 for cup, $4.70 for cone) for its smooth and creamy texture and nutty overtones. The refreshing and soothing Earl Grey Tie Guan Yin, made with brewed tea from The 1872 Clipper Tea Co., is what Burpple Tastemaker Nobelle Liew describes to be "delicate, fragrant, yet intense all at the same time". Other interesting flavours include Cacao Milk Honey Cornflakes and Strawberry Pocky. If you have time to spare, sit and enjoy their popular Handcrafted Tart ($9.90). The crumbly, buttery and cake-like tart comes with a scoop of gelato.
