The crackling buttermilk batter seasoning was immaculately spot on with deliciousness. The sous vide chicken thigh was moist and tender, with it juicy practically spilling out with each bite! It was served with shredded lettuce, garlic aioli, chipotle honey dressing on soft brioche bun. This was out of control, my sis devour it within 15 minutes, worth every calories!

Though initially I do not have high expectation cos tongue can sometimes be gamey and rubbery. But it completely blew my mind! This is so perfectly cured and brined for hours then shaved into thin sheets, the flavour and the tenderness was to die for! The richness of this succulent pile of meat is counterpointed by generous dollop of gribiche (hard boiled egg dressing) and a piquant tangy dijon mustard. Buttery house-baked brioche slices hug this divine concoction; the bread tender but not so airy that it sags beneath its beefy bounty. OMG! Everything was divine to greatness, I just died in Ox Tongue’s Heaven.

Me love for croissant is real, just look at the layers of glory brings me to satisfaction. 🥰 It’s light, flaky and buttery. Thanks to the Pastry Chef pays attention to lamination of dough process, It’s mind-blowing! And the precision applied when layering the butter evenly in thin sheets of dough. I savoured every bite and even the crumbs that fell onto the basket. It’s definitely worth my journey to the west!

I’ve been craving for croissant ever since I left Tartine in San Francisco. I just can’t get enough of Croissant, I could have them everyday. It’s my first time at Tiong Bahru Bakery, and I must admit that their croissant is pretty damn decent. It was just a little dense and maybe not as flaky as what I would love from tartine but satisfied me just a little. 🙊

Ma Shrooms: Double Portobello, Cheese, Halloumi, Green Goodness, Hobo Greens with Cheddar Bagel. Vegetarian option since we had the protein from the chicken, and to my surprise it was not that bad just that the “fatty” ratio were a little too much. But I love how well-grilled the halloumi cheese was, generous amount of the Portobello was damn substantial. 🧀
Bird: House Smoked Chicken Leg, Moroccan Spice, Tomatoes, Smoked Aioli with Hobo Greens with Seeded Bagel. I was pretty blown away by the flavour from the bagel and the chicken was well marinated, tender and juicy. Each bite was irresistible. 🐓
I have ordered the Chef’s Special “Roast Pork Sandwich” ($20++) and has my fries changed to Mixed Green Salad. I like how the slow-cooked pork was served with pickled coleslaw, whole grain mustard and sautéed onion. I love how the balance between the choice of ingredients with the saltiness of the mustard. It’s pretty darn good! However the bread was the only thing that I do not fancy, wished it could be a little “toasted” and served hot.

The croissants are very good but you need to get them when they are straight out of the oven as they turn a little wrinkly after some time. They also could be a little more buttery, i felt that it’s quite dense for my usual liking.
Ain’t this the cutest thing ever? Love the fact that I could just buy 1 instead of having to get multiple. Perfectly toasted and fluffy, not too heavy for a snack. 😋
I love the soft buttery of French croissant, I asked for it to be toasted. However, fresh from the oven kind of hottest but it still does taste damn good!
Freshly baked Amond Croissant filled with Almond Cream and French AOP butter. It’s so fluffy, toasted, crunchy and not filling at all. Love it!
It’s so good that I came back again, the baguette is so crispy and you can simply heard the crunch as you bite into it. 😋
