Fancy work lunch. I've never seen this novelty even at Teochew restaurants. Other than braise, they also fry the meat. Taste-wise very ordinary lah. Tbh I couldn't tell the difference between goose and duck.
Fancy work lunch.
Like that lor.
Their rendition surprised me. Firstly, they didn't say black pepper. Secondly, it has bones.
Average.
The legendary dish where it all started. Not my first time obviously. I started eating this before it appeared in Singapore. This was good, but not the other dishes on this visit.
I don't care what you say, this is a landmark restaurant of Ipoh. They're interesting because they're kinda a seafood restaurant but their menu seems small, focusing on a few trademark dishes. This one didn't seem popular but a friend recommended it and I agree it's sick. The prawns are the size of crayfish and RM30 each, the gravy was super rich and the noodle had great texture.
I don't care what you say, this is a landmark restaurant of Ipoh. They're interesting because they're kinda a seafood restaurant but their menu seems small, focusing on a few trademark dishes. Everyone orders the porridge, which is differentiated by ingredients. This has baby abalones, crab meat and scallops. At $18 this is considered very expensive in Ipoh but serves two to three. The flavour was just very seafood. We counted around 30 abalones, it's insane.
From a mlxg stall. It seems everything here after my futsal sucks. Even something as reliable as twice-cooked pork was surprisingly flat. I suspect the culture at this coffeeshop is just toxic.
Delicious, especially with the sweetness from the pork floss.
Above average. The two main ingredients led the way.
