Cafe Hopping

Vegetarian and yet I was impressed that how yummy this dish was. It was flavorful & paired perfectly with avocado. I wanted to try something new from their menu & this was probably the most underrated dish on the menu. (Checked @burpple’s app & no one ordered it too!) Perhaps cause marmite has an acquired taste. Do you like it or hate it?

Pulled pork shoulder, apple coleslaw & chipotle mayo served with crispy potatoes (or salad). Huge delectable flavourful sandwich that blew me away. I was so impressed cause good sandwiches like this are hard to find here. Generous big plate that will definitely fill your tummy.

Second time having this and this time it was lacked of Chili so it was less flavourful. If not, it’s still my favourite chicken breast in Singapore. If only this was slightly cheaper or if I could make this a home the same way, I don’t mind having this for lunch all the time. Try it cause it’s really yummy!! Wasn’t spicy at all too. Do you prefer chicken thigh or breast?

Baked eggs with streaky bacon, baked beans, baby spinach, peppers & tomato. Choose between runny or scrambled. First time I had baked eggs that came with bacons & baked beans. It was yummy especially since I’m bias towards baked beans. I think the yolk was just a little over cooked tho & you get to dip those sourdough toast that was soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. Will you choose runny or scrambled? 🥚

Durian brûlée had real durian fillings which surprised me & wasn’t just artificial cream. best to share it with a friend. These were baked not fried.

Taiwanese “tapas” going at $5 & $10. Small portions but comes with free flow rice. 🍚 I liked the lu-rou & braised pig intestines but rest of the food were average. I was expecting a lot more for their burnt chili chicken dish after reading so much on it.
Wanted another bowl of braised pig intestines but didn’t wana pay another $10 for it when I can get this elsewhere for cheaper. We had a lot of issues with our food orders after their staff & chefs got it wrong a few times. We waited pretty long for our meals to arrive but the young waiters were all very polite & smiley so I wrote them a good feedback personally cause of that. .

3 blocks of halloumi cheese between charcoal buns, portobello mushrooms & a sunny side up egg. Vegetarian & part of their new refreshed menu but it was so disappointing. Cheese was cold & chewy that the burger was left half eaten. Couldn’t stop snacking on the curly fries tho.

Thick diced spicy salmon on a salad/sushi rice bowl with your preferred toppings & sauces. I chose spicy salmon instead of wasabi mayo. There’s free flow kimchi at the counter with about 6 different kinds of sauces you can choose to add on your own. Not sure why there’s Korean kimchi in this Hawaiian dish. .
👄 : Will I return? Only if I’m around Novena area & my friends suggest on having this. It’s not the best poke bowl in Singapore but I have been here twice just cause there wasn’t any other option.

Avocado, grilled asparagus spears, poached eggs wrapped with Norwegian smoked salmon, Hollandaise sauce & salmon pearls on wholewheat brioche. .

My must order every time I visit Super Loco or Lucha Loco! My ultimate fave Mexican street style dish. Elotes - Not your typical corn on the cob. Introduced this to my Cousin & my friends & they loved it so much. .

My Friend wasn’t a fan of avo toast until she tried this one with pesto & feta cheese. Added smoked salmon on another visit & it was a great combo. They have excellent coffee but their pre-packed ice coffee in those cute glass bottles tasted diluted to me. I didn’t like that!
