This week my friend Iveta substituted the prawns in my Spaghettini d’oglio with shimeji mushrooms 🍄very garlicky just how I love it and a good carb load before HIIT Yoga! Don’t worry, the Parmesan is vegetarian! #andsons #pasta #pastalove #vegetarianfood #veggiefood #veggieoption #shimeji #carbloading

so this time I tried a flower bowl! Except the flower wasn’t existent as I had it to take away so they had to fold the banana “petals” in. This mega superfood delight includes no less than 14 toppings on the blended Açaí base! Those include banana, strawberry, blueberries, grapes, mango, homemade granola, shredded coconut, goji berries, cacao nibs, bee pollen, chia seeds and I added cashew butter as all that wasn’t enough! #acai #acaibowl #superfood #superfoods #chiaseeds #gojiberries #beepollen #cashewbutter

Discovered that @beriwell is in fact more focused on healthy food in general and not “just another Açaí bar”. They serve soft serve Açaí sourced from a single organic source in the Amazon and actually soak the berries and mash them themselves (better than powdered Açaí like most places). They also offer a coconut soft serve of a distinct blue hue made from Thai coconuts; or you can do what I did and get a “Twist” with both together! Small bowls get two toppings, so I had blueberries and peanut butter. Only thing I would say is that two toppings is too little when most places offer a lot more. Also, a drizzle or sauce shouldn’t count. Oh and one last thing actually - they need more nut butters!! Peanut is a strong flavoured nut and I prefer cashew or almond. I enjoyed mine but would have preferred it with the above! Side note, this place is soooooo beautifully decorated, check out my story 👍

The prices are quite high here, but this salad was very yummy. Goats cheese on a bed of mixed leaves, sliced strawberries, pomegranate arils and chopped walnuts. In the background you can see the cheeky side orders of breaded mushrooms with garlic sauce and fried Camembert slices with cranberry cream sauce. #brotzeit #germanfood #goatscheese #goatscheesesalad #healthyfood #fitfood #friedcamembert #notsohealthy

By the end of the day I’ll have spent over ten hours here! I allowed myself a decadent (expensive) lunch @fortyhandscafe....a fave of mine, smashed avo on toast with added poached eggs for protein. There was crumbled feta on there too and a little side salad of mixed leaves. I might have to try and recreate at home! #fortyhands #fortyhandscafe #avocadotoast #avocado #smashedavo #tiongbahru #healthyfood #healthytreat

At 7am. A struggle. Afterwards I sat outside @flockcafespore and planned my next class whilst eating fruit salad (watermelon, blueberries and strawberries) and homemade granola with Greek yoghurt. Asked for the honey on the side this time to avoid sweetness overload. Skinny latte on the side. Aaaand relax. #breakfast #brekkie #granola #fruitsalad #skinnylatte #healthyfood #fitfood #postyogafuel

I tried another new place today, @anacaiaffair, and was super impressed! This was a Dragon Bowl with a scoop of pitaya sorbet and a scoop of Açaí. Between the two they layered in granola, banana and cashew nut butter, then topped it with dragon fruit pieces, blueberries and more banana, granola and cashew nut butter. On top it was sprinkled with goji berries, cacao nibs and shredded coconut. So delicious and refreshing!! Perfect before hot yoga and I love the way it combines both Açaí and pitaya as usually it’s one of the other! The double layer or granola and nut butters made it extra yummy and decadent and meant the flavour was spread more evenly than when everything is on top only. To cap it off they are also considerably cheaper than other local alternatives...!

Haritts is a famous Japanese doughnut bakers, the Singapore outlet between Clarke Quay and Chinatown only makes 300 per day and once they are sold out they shut up shop. Hence why I have failed to get my hands on one until now! This was a matcha 🍵 doughnut of course, I had hoped to try a raspberry and white chocolate but they are only sold on Wednesdays I was told...will have to go back...As to be expected from a Japanese baker, the matcha was almost overpoweringly strong with a custardy filling and matcha powder inside. #haritts #harittsdonuts #donut #doughnut #matcha #matchaaddict #matchadoughnut #sweettreat #sweettooth

No worries @40handscoffee is over the road and here to save the day! Crunchy homemade granola with greek yoghurt, rock melon, water melon, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and banana! Only criticism was it was drizzled in honey and it was almost overpoweringly sweet. #breakfast #granola #fortyhands #healthyfood #fitfood #startthedayright #berries #artyfood
