We decided to go for a 2-3 person platter ($65) and create our own favourite second platter. We have added Smoked Buffalo Wings ($8), 350g Angus Short Ribs ($42.35), 100g Angus Brisket Plate ($12.98), 100g Carolina Pulled Pork($12.40), Sweet Potato Fries ($8), Bone Marrow Butter Mashed Potato ($8) onto our platter that consist Brisket Plate, Pork Belly, Smoked Chicken, Pork Ribs, Sausage & Wings w/ Roasted Vegetable and Mashed as our Sides.

I’m a beef eater so I went straight to the brisket as I was craving from my US visit since December and I love it! It was tender with good amount of fats and perfectly charred! AND the short ribs were to die for, the tender juicy soft meat literally fall off the bone without any fork and knife, it’s the best I had for the night. This is a perfect restaurant for a group gathering, perfect barbecue with affordable price point. 👍🏻

Overall Experience: Price Point - 10/10, Food - 9/10, Ambience - 8/10

It’s hard to come by a good, delicious American style barbecue and Red Eye Does it right on point. Starting off with a very sinful “Macho Nacho” ($16) that lowed with fresh salsa, guacamole, cheddar cheese, ranch, chipotle aioli and beans. The chips were crunchy, a little salty but it balanced off with the cheese and fresh salsa. The heat and sourness from the pickled jalapeño and guacamole were my favourite. Perfect starter!

I’m not so much of a negative review person, but this place was a great appointment. Nothing served today was good at all, this is a perfect “look good but tasted meh.”

Chicken and Egg Sandwich: I had to top up $5 extra to have my chicken thigh swapped with breast. Worst of all, the breast was not only dry and it was tasteless. The only thing I would recommend is just the biscuit, and THAT’S IT!

Mac n Cheese: this was just speechless bland, the cheese was so thick and lack of flavor.

Blueberry Pancake: This was the most dryness pancake I ever had, it’s so dense and doughy even though it looks pretty fluffy. Look is really deceiving!

American Burger: The only legit food #onthetable is French fries, haha. Burnt brioche bread, served with thick and pretty juicy short ribs patty. At least this is still edible.

Overall, this is probably our last visit to @yardbirdsingapore this was far from my experience in the states.

Buttermilk fried chicken tenders served with Honey-Tabasco Sauce, Slaw and Neil’s Biscuit. I have officially just self-created my Fried Chicken and Biscuit (huge craving after my visit to The Bird at MBS).
I love the battered of buttermilk fried chicken, not oily and crunchy. The skin was fried to it’s perfection crispiness and the meat were damn tender and juicy!

This is probably the best pancakes I ever had in Singapore, it was soft, airy and perfect to its texture! It was served hot and the fluffiness of the buttery pancakes balanced well with the savory taste of their homemade warm maple butter. Initially, thought it could be too sweet with the blueberries sauce, but I was WRONG! I love how it wasn’t too dense nor thick or crazily sweet. This is a recommended dish to share, share the calories!

I like the name BANG BANG CHICKEN WINGS, It’s interesting name for just Cajun seasoned buffalo wings with Kungfu Sauce (Sweet Chilli Mustard Mayo).

But I would rather the spend more effort in the food tasting then fanciful name for the dish. The chickens were overly seasoned on the skin and thankfully fried perfection with tenderness and juice maintain inside, it’s not dry at all but it’s too salty!

NZ Angel Bay Angus Beef Patty, Bacon, Egg, Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Grilled Pineapple, Onion Relish, Charcoal Bun.

You definitely need to work your jaw to get everything down in 1 bite, and of course I had to chase it along on my second bite.

The beef patty was juicy and tender but it not exactly that flavorful. The bacon was really fatty, it’s too my liking. Ultimately, it’s just a burger without any wow factor.

【Medium Rare Steaks】
The absolute choice for the real beef eater. In order to taste the beefy-ness of the the meat, medium rare must be the only choice. Other than that, you are either cold blooded or might as well go for chicken or pork and please do not ruin the perfect cut of the meat. *with great respect for my animal friend*

• American Rib Eye Steak is a delicious balance of savory taste and firm, yet tender. You practically could enjoy the luxurious eating experience of Maeba Ling for the optimal juice was and flavor of the ribeye.

• Miyazaki is reputable of their Japanese A5 Wagyu Filet Mignon, this filet is out of this world! Each bite just exploded with juice and flavor, you do not need any sauce or seasoning. The experience was just amazing, almost brought me back to Japan .

【Mac and Cheese】
This may look really simple but it’s a best Macaroni and Cheese I ever had in Singapore! Though it ain’t my usual order cos I am not so much of a pasta person, but this is seriously damn bloody awesome. The pasta was cooked and baked to perfection on cast iron in four different types of cheese with crusty surface. 😋

【Beef Tenderloin】
You should always go for medium rare for your choice of beef cut. Love the tenderness of the beef that melts in my mouth, the juiciness of the meat as your chewed. Though we were served with dipping sauce but there’s definitely no need for it if you’re someone who love a good cut of steak just like me. 250g for just SGD 98, is a steal!

Half a chicken + Soup + a drink for that amount is really quite worth it for a quick lunch in Tanjong Pagar Han’s.

Grilled Cod Fillet with Miso Paste served with sautéed broccoli with garlic. I asked for mashed potatoes to side salad. #nottooheavydinner
