For Spicy Food

This is one of my favourite mala tangs because of the rich flavour in the broth. There’s a wide variety of ingredients you can choose from as well and if you’re not a fan of mala they have 3 other broths (pork bone, tomato and Chinese pickled vegetable) as well.

This was rich in flavour and the noodles were smooth and chewy. This originally comes with 面线 but I asked for the thick noodles and I enjoyed it a lot. I would have liked it more if it was more spicy!

Having heard so much about Lanzhou and their hand pulled noodles, I had to give this place a try 🤤 I got a mala beef noodles set (and I got to choose the type of noodles, side and drink), additional $4 for the set. I chose the thickest noodles and the side that has peanuts in it. The noodles ($9.50) were so smooth and went so well with the soup and thin beef slices 😍 Swipe to see more noodles 😋

Was very happy when I saw chilled mala chicken noodles on the menu as their new product and had to try it! The cold noodles were springy and refreshing, with spicy, sour and savoury flavours all in the same bowl. It wasn’t as spicy as I expected but I really enjoyed it especially when it isn’t easy to find cold noodles in Singapore (that isn’t cold soba). So happy I got to try this and can’t wait to have this again 🤤

The fiery tonkotsu ramen ($14.90) lived up to its name and was quite spicy indeed. It doesn’t come with a ramen egg so you need to add it in.

This place is opened by the same person who opened Seoi Gor Cafe and Woo Ricebox so you can order from all 3 places but sit in the same area! This doesn’t look like mala but it’s very flavourful and the spice is hidden hahaha. I like this a lot more than the usual kinds laden with chilli oil so I’ll come back!

These handmade noodles were very tasty and had a smooth texture. The tomato with egg in this gave it a refreshing taste and I enjoyed this very much!

This was part of the bulgogi combo ($29.90++) where you get to choose a soontofu with your bulgogi. Each combo comes with hot stone rice which can be very crispy and the soup was very flavourful. The beef in the soup was very tender as well.

The fried mantou ($4.80) is served with condensed milk and is a good recovery from the numbness while you eat the mala fish! The mantous are also crispy outside while soft in the inside so they were really good.

Had the mala sea bass ($32) with luncheon meat ($3.80) and thick vermicelli ($4.80). The soup was really tasty with the bean paste in it and the thick vermicelli was very chewy too! The price differs depending on the type of fish you get and its size.
