SOD uses Valrhona chocolate that gives the richness in the cocoa but reducing on the sweetness level. The black pepper gravy was thick in texture and in flavor. Fried rice was not too dry nor too wet.
However, due to the increase in rental and other operating costs, hawkers have to increase in selling price and that does not equate to higher profit. They might be getting the same profit from selling at $5 to selling at $7.50. The difference in the price hike mostly goes to levy, rental increase, food costs' increase.
But this does not do justice to the stall, the owner and the food. Customers will be deterred from patronising again because of the price difference.
Good hawker stalls need to be preserved in the local food heritage. They speaks Singapore!

Served with tau pok, fishcake and boiled egg.

As Fei siong speaks for its brand, the flavor of the laksa is quite standard with the right amount of coconut milk and chili.

$9.90 Special Fried Rice with Fried Chicken Wing

TBH, the fried rice was far from special, it was a level lower than normal. Chicken wings were mediocre. However, the chilli is da bomb. It was abit sweet with hinge of spice which was well balanced for the local tastebuds. On a side note, i think my grandma can fry a better egg.

They could do better with their service standards. Obviously they were under staffed for a holiday night but if they were to plan strategically, they would still be able to meet every guests needs. Food delivery were prompt so i guessed their kitchen staffs were apt but however, a few times when we needed assistance, we need to go to them. @papparichsg, u could do better!

The poor burger was made to sit for 20 mins as we were busy with the photo-taking and tasting of the appetisers. But surprisingly, the bun is still as crunchy as it was supposed to be.

The beef patty was well marinated with onions, black pepper and some of the undisclosed secret recipe. That kept the moist and tenderness of the patty.
