The Signature Pan Fried Buns (HKD$30 for 4 pieces) were so so good. Crispy on the outside, and it was amazing the amount of soup they managed to contain inside! Super delish! We also tried the pork and shrimp ones, but they were nowhere near as yummy. These are Michelin mentioned for good reason.

My first liquid nitrogen ice cream experience! The vegan flavour available during my visit was Purple Rice with Osmanthus Grass Jelly. The ice cream was purple rice flavored, the grass jelly the topping, and the osmanthus was a honey-like syrup poured over. I liked it, I like everything purple rice! It was pricey tho, HKD$46 for a really small cup.

So so good, and surprisingly refreshing! It had a strong sesame flavour, but was not thick at all. Had a slight herbal tea after taste, so I reckon that’s definitely the base of the drink. Must try!

Kung Lee (Central)

Too interesting not to try! Tasted more like water chestnut than sugar cane to me, and it was more set than jelly. Had the slightly chewy texture of osmanthus cake.

These had the flaky crust I love! Super delish...

Tasted just like Diet Coke with lemon...

This burger had beef, beef chili, cheddar cheese, house pickles, spring onion, sour cream. It was a juicy burger done well, and I really enjoyed the ketchup they serve at this restaurant, by Wilkin & Sons Ltd. Yum!

Tried the vegan burger, which featured Impossible meat made from plants, spring onion, chili, coriander, mint, basil, crispy shallots, garlic, vegan soya mayonnaise.
Impossible meat is a trademarked meat free meat made entirely from plants, that is supposed to sear, bleed and taste just like the real thing. Apparently this is the only restaurant outside of the US that is authorized to include it on their menu.
Anyhow, it was the best vegan patty I’ve had, and I’ve tried many vegan burgers! I’d highly recommend giving this a shot, if u’re ever in the area.

So much care taken with the food presentation! Even the century egg (HKD$10) was stenciled with design.

These were so adorable, we had to get them! HKD$88 for 3. They didn’t taste so good tho, I think they were some sort of cuttlefish ball? Anyway they fell to pieces when we tried to cook them... quite gruesome.

We got the Signature Pot (HKD$328), which came with 5 soup bases: Whole Papaya in Soup, Boston Lobster in Tomato Lobster Soup, Beef Brisket in Clear Broth, Sichuan Style Numbingly Spicy Soup, Teochew Style Satay Soup. The pot came with some ingredients included, a smallish lobster & some prawns. We added a sake bomb to the papaya soup, was a lil disappointed as they just poured a shot of sake into the broth, then lit it on fire.
Our fave soups were the lobster one and the satay.
This place is on the pricey side, we didn’t order a lot, and the bill came close to SGD$200 for 2 persons.

Been coming here for years, every time I’m in HK. Got the Sweet Potato Pie, French Corn Pie, Chicken Pie and Cheese Milk Tart. The chicken pie filling has bits of radish/turnip that makes it so special!
