This may not be the prettiest bowl of lu rou fan but it is definitely one of the most tasty lu rou which I have tasted in Singapore.

Tie Fun Wan (previously known as Rice & Fries), located along 89 Rangoon Road, offers a wide range of signature bowls such as Braised Pork- Lor Bak ($8), 72 hours Slow Cooked Beef ($14) and Mala Pork Collar($10). In addition, for those salmon lover, you may opt for the smoked salmon rice bowl ($12) which is similarly delicious as well.
For the yummy bowl, customer may choose between koshihikari super premium short grain rice or dry lamian.
My personal favourite bowl is definitely the lor bak bowl, the braised pork may look simple and dark but it is definitely succulent and flavourful. The braised pork belly goes really well with the rice and 63 degree egg. It has been almost three weeks since the food tasting and I have actually ordered the lor bak rice bowl again using @grabfoodsg app, thus definitely recommend lor bak lovers to visit the hidden gem.

Thank you @ariane.le for extending the invite & @tiefunwan for the warm hosting as well as the yummy food. Thank you @ashleyoms for helping me to capture the first shot.

Searching for a chinese cuisine restaurant that features hongkong style roasted delights to celebrate the upcoming father’s day or just a simple gathering with your loved ones? Don’t say bojio, time to visit @heavenlyducksg , which is located at E!Avenue of Downtown East, conveniently just less than 10 mins walk from Pasir Ris MRT station!
Heavenly Duck’s Four Heavenly King Platter ($48++) is a dish that one must not miss when visiting the restaurant, the platter is filled with yummy roasted delights (char siew, siok bak, roasted duck & chicken). My personal favourite would be their roast pork and of course not forgetting their roast duck. The siok bak has a crispy skin and the inner layer was flavourful and tender, it has the best combination of lean meat & fats.

Apart from that @heavenlyducksg also serves many other yummy dishes such as their dimsum, e.g siew mai with tobiko.
Please do remember to flash your Plus Card & earn the link points when you dine at Heavenly Duck.

Thank you @singaporefoodlisting for the invitation and @heavenlyducksg & @mypluslife for the warm hosting!

Any noodles lover here? Time to visit Ju Hao (聚豪) by @mofgroup for its Taiwanese sundried noodles. The sundried noodles are definitely a healthier option with no preservatives and salt and oil added to it when it was dried under low temperature. The noodles are made with 100% wheat flour powder and thus giving the noodles a springy texture. What’s more is that we can opt for the noodles of our choice while ordering.
One of my personal favourite would be the shallot noodles with hainanese style chicken and not forgetting the prawn pancake, which is good for sharing as a side dish. The chicken cutlet was succulent and crispy! Definitely a good place to hang out for the easties.

Introducing a few of my favourite dishes at Terminal M, a restaurant chain by Ministry of Food, which is also the first halal multi-concept food hall in Changi Airport. The multi-concept food hall serves MUIS halal-certified Korean, Chinese & Japanese food.

One of my favourite dishes is the Beef Bulgogi Hotpot ($33.80) from Hanssik. The hotpot is definitely ideal for sharing with a group of friends/ loved ones as it is filled with generous portion of my favourite mushrooms 🍄 and beef. It would go well with some rice to enjoy the savoury & sweet taste of the soup. Apart from that, the Wanton with vinegar & chilli oil ($8.80) and the red bean pancake ($9.80) from Yu Long Quan is definitely best enjoyed while served warm.

Thank you @brandcellar for the invite & warm hosting and @terminalmbymof & @mofgroup for the yummy food!

I have previously heard positive reviews about curious palette and finally had the chance to visit the cafe on a weekday evening.

As a fan of berries, we have ordered the berry ricotta hotcake and was told that we have to wait thirty minutes for them to prepare the hotcake. To be honest, I am not a big fan of hotcake, but the fluffy hotcakes from curious palette did not fail to surprise me. The hotcake is served with generous portion of strawberry & blueberries, pumpkin seeds and it is topped with vanilla bean ice cream. We love the hotcake with some maple syrup on it 😊.

Have you heard of Yun Nans, also known as 云海肴 in China, time to visit their first flagship outlet in Jewel Changi Airport. Yun Nans focuses on serving highland cuisine, one of their signature dish would be the Steam Pot Chicken Soup ($23.90). Can you believe that the soup is brewed without using a single drop of water? The chicken is pressure steamed for three consecutive hours and stored in a Jianshui claypot, thus when you start drinking it, it taste really nourishing and not oily.
As a huge fan of mushrooms, I love their Stir Fried Wild Porcini Mushroom with Dried Chili ($24.90). The wild porcini mushrooms were found 2000 to 3000m above sea level and the dish just go really well by itself.
There are also other interesting dishes such as Grilled Seabass with Lemongrass ($22.90) and many more to explore! Even though I have to spam quite a bit of water while enjoying the different spicy dishes, the raspberry juice with tamarind is really refreshing!

Thank you @brandcellar for the invite & both @brandcellar & @yunnans for the warm hosting!

Good news to otah lovers, Lee Wee & Brothers has recently launched its new concept- O’TAH and it is located at Basement 2 of Jewel Changi Airport. The 12 seater kiosk is open 24 hours and thus otah lovers get to satisfy their otah cravings at any time.
O’TAH has launched four interesting flavours namely:
_🍽 Pink Salmon Otah
_🍽 Petai & Anchovy Otah
_🍽 Scallop Otah
_🍽 Cream Cheese & Corn Otah

Tasted all the four flavours and my personal favourite would be the cream cheese & corn otah, the savoury cream cheese taste goes well together with the sweet corn and the spicy fragrance of the otah. It would be more shiok if we have it together with nasi lemak from Lee Wee & Brothers.

Oh yes, the O’TAH fries was pretty shiok as well! Do explore them next time if you visit O’TAH and let me know if you enjoy it as well.

Thank you @brandcellar for the invite & @otahsg and @brandcellar for the warm hosting!

Craving for some Japanese cuisine? Time to visit Niigato Bento to enjoy their signature Tori Teriyaki Bento. The chicken is freshly prepared with chef's special homemade teriyaki sauce and it goes perfect with the Koshihikari Rice. The homemade teriyaki sauce comes with a perfect combination of savoury & sweet fragrance of shoyu and rice wine.
Apart from that, I was impressed by their truffle udon. The udon is mixed in truffle oil and topped with fish roe and kani strips. The spicy salmon mini don is served with fresh salmon cubes and with a special spicy paste. Do note that both the truffle udon and spicy salmon mini don is only available at their Clementi mall outlet and available via delivery platforms such as @grabfoodsg @honestbeesg @foodpandasg @deliveroo_sg .

Thank you @singaporefoodlisting for the invite and @niigatabento for the warm hosting!

I have always been a fan of mentaiko and anything with mentaiko generally goes well for me.

The Mentai Hokkaido Scallop is definitely something that I will order again during my next visit as Waa Cow is really generous with the mentaiko sauce and the tobiko as well as spring onion and it just taste simply yummy with this combination. 📍 Waa Cow Sushi Bar

Alert to all char siew lovers, don’t say bojio, Fook Kin’s roasted delights such as their Char Siew & Roast Pork (medium size: $17) is one of my top most favourite item from the menu, and it is definitely a holiao (gem) that we should all try!

For those who have not heard about Fook Kin, it is a restaurant located along Killiney road, a partnership between Roast Paradise, The Muttons and Fat Boys. The restaurant gives off a nostalgic vibes with metal gates at the entrance and traditional olden days cup for drinks, yet a modernize hipster feel with pink neon lights and marble tables around. In addition, there were artistic paintings on the wall with the words “福劲好时光”. Definitely a good place to enjoy a meal together with your friends and family and it makes you feel as though that you are at home.

Anyway, similarly to the charsiew at Roast Paradise, the char siew and siokbak at Fook Kin were crispy at the outer layer and the caramelized meat were really tender and succulent.
Stay tune to my future post for reviews about the other dishes from Fook Kin.

Happy midweek! Tried this shiok bowl of Mentaiko Wagyu Beef Bowl ($21.90) at Waa Cow Sushi Bar earlier this month to celebrate bestie’s birthday. The mentaiko waygu beef bowl is something that everyone should try if you are a fan of wagyu beef and love mentaiko just like we do.

The rich mentaiko sauce on the succulent wagyu beef and the delicious onsen egg is something that we will definitely go for again when we revisit Waa Cow.

However, we were disappointed with their mentaiko salmon bowl. The salmon was dry and not to our liking. Nevertheless, still worthwhile to visit to try their waygu beef!

Do note that outlet is relatively small, thus you may not get a seat if you are not early! 📍 Waa Cow Sushi Bar

Attention to all fish skin lovers, have you heard of @londonfatduck.sg ‘s Black Truffle Fish Skin & Si Chuan Mala Fish Skin?

Time to visit London Fat Duck to enjoy their fish skins which are hand crafted and freshly made.
Personally, I am a fan of the Black Truffle Fish Skin which was made using dehydrated italian black truffle powder instead of truffle oil. A small packet of the Black Truffle Fish Skin is selling at $10, and $20 for the bigger pack. Definitely something rather addictive and ideal to enjoy it while watching some drama at home.

Thank you @londonfatduck.sg for sharing the yummy fish skins with us!
