This is more a drinking place with food, rather than a proper dining restaurant: lots of drink options, casual (and very friendly) service and décor, where passers-by strolling on the pavement can see what you consume, etc. But don’t underestimate the food - it’s much more than bar food. Lots of yummy, innovative dishes. So delish that if you’re not careful, you can easily put on more than 1,500 calories by the end of the meal.

Located on the less lively, but more charming stretch of Robertson Quay, across the river from Warehouse Hotel. As in the stereotype, sun-loving western customers dine outside, with a pleasant view of the river. Heat-fearing Asians prefer the comfort of aircon, although the dining room is soulless. One might question the logic of combining Indian and Lebanese food: The chef is Indian, but lived in the Middle East for 20+ years. He must be overworked, for the food takes a long time to come out, and also in random fashion: bread was served a full 10 minutes after the hummus; our two neighbours both had steak frites, but one order came out 5 minutes after the other. An order of pappadum never showed up. When the food does appear though, it does taste good and authentic - delicious pita bread, scrumptious hummus, well-marinated kebab and lamb chops. The Indian dishes served at another table look appetising. Polite albeit not terribly pro-active wait staff.

The food is decent (pizzas are excellent; lobster ravioli so-so; wet risotto very wet and quite unusual but not great; forget about mediocre antipasti). However, it is satisfying, almost like meals cooked by a loving grandma who is not a fabulous chef. The place has two qualities: it is very good value (especially when special 1-for-1 offers are on), and service is exceptionally warm and friendly.

This is more like an izakaya/tapas bar than a restaurant. We went for lunch. At dinner, the menu is longer and has more dishes, but nowhere near a real restaurant. The kitchen is far too tiny anyway. The food is good, but nothing to scream about. Very friendly service.
