Michelin Bib Gourmand Hawkers 2018
I’ve patronised this stall since its days in Tiong Bahru. The present chef learned from his late father. The skills were passed on well. The mee is soaked well in the flavourful and tasty stock. The ingredients are fresh and above all the homemade sambal chilli is awesome. I’ve mixed feelings about the award for this stall. On one hand the chef deserved it but on the other hand the queue is so long that he’s afraid he won’t be able to produce good quality food. Had it today and found it to be just as good. Sad thing is his children are not taking over. Soon he may be too tired to go on. For the time being I’ll still queue for this dish.
