Penang Food
I’ve not eaten the white curry mee in Penang but this one is good. As a laksa/curry mee lover I’m really enjoyed it till I completely devoured the bowlful of bee hoon. Really burping good.
Penang prawn mee lovers would love this stall. The soup is full of aroma and robust in flavour. Medium size prawns are served whole not sliced. The dry version is very well done with enough chilli and sauces. Because they follow Penang style hence you’ll get other ingredients like fish cakes etc. Overall it’s a yummy experience and worth the queue.
At the front of Sri Weld Food Court along Lebuh Beach, Penang(Beach Street) this stall sells a variety of nasi lemak that’s well known not only to Penangites but also foodies coming here. The rice is covered with sambal that’s both spicy and not too sweet. Ingredients like mine which was a fish are fresh and tasty. At Rm 1.80 you can have a few different ones to satisfy your nasi lemak craving. 🤣
A very typical Penang Hokkien mee except the soup is full of flavour and very aromatic. The chilli sauce is not too spicy that overwhelm the mee. Only problem is the wait. However it’s not a standing queue as I could sit at the table and ordered a cuppa.
