Wishlist this restaurant for the festive season ahead! The Signature Lobster Porridge (half lobster $31.90, whole $55.00) sees a deliciously rich broth and fresh deep water lobsters, and feeds up to seven adults comfortably. Don't forget to order the tender and slightly sweet Pan Fried Kurobuta Pork (from $14.90) as well.

This stellar roast meat joint is sure to please the entire family! Go for the Double Roast ($24 for 350g), consisting of Char’s signature melt-in-your-mouth Special Char Siew and Roast Crispy Pork Belly. While these are not applicable for 1-for-1, you CAN double up on the flavourful Hong Kong Style Stir-fried Mian Xian ($11.80) and Beef Hor Fun ($12) for staples.

Round up the gang – we're talking warm atmosphere, good music and fantastic burgers at this chill spot. Trust the Burpple community and go for the Jam & Eggs ($15), consisting of house-made bacon jam, an oozy fried egg and smoky, char-grilled pork patties topped with crunchy egg fritters. A side of the Fried Eggplant ($7) is a good idea as well.

Heads up, fans of funky fare! This diner doles out sharing plates with a modern twist on old comforts. Take the Rice Cake ($7) for instance – it's reminiscent of pan-fried radish cake, but with a smoother and softer bite. Order the umami house-made Miso Cream ($5 each) to pair with anything on the menu, and don't forget to end your meal with the highly recommended Pandan Pana Cotta ($7).
