Fave Fav Fav ππ
Liked the generosity in ingredients in their sandwiches thatβs packed with health and nutrients! But only gripe is that their sandwiches are more on the dry side, and each individual component doesnβt quite blend together... But still a decent option for a light lunch and also, theyβre now $11.50 for two kraftwiches on Fave!
Quite a nice healthy option for lunch! Though deceivingly small, it was decently substantial for lunch! Only downside was probably that itβs more on the dry side, but they definitely didnβt scrimp on the smoked salmon slices! Also, now $11.50 for two kraftwiches on Fave!
Pretty worth with tea set voucher on Fave ($10.50)! Chocolate sponge layer was nicely moist and dense, and cream wasnβt too cloying, actually quite liked the random berries interspersed in the cake that gave it a unique touch! ππ Toppings tasted a little artificial but overall still a pretty good cake! Coffee was decent too! Best of all was the environment - well-lit spacious cafe with huge tables, water and WiFi provided, definitely ideal if you need a quiet place to study/get some work done ππ»ππ»
One of my go to places for cheap and good korean food! ππ Though this place may not serve up the best dishes, but they consistently serve up piping hot down-to-earth no-frills korean food! The spicy beef soup came with generous slices of beef and vermicelli noodles while the kimchi pork came with pork belly slices, tofu and kimchi! π€€π€€ The winner for me is definitely the number of side dishes at this price points, and especially love the korean black beans! ππ With fast service and free flow of barley tea/water, this is the perfect place for family gatherings or large group gatherings. Only downside is the ulu location, but itβs still situated pretty near town so definitely worth a try!
With inspiration from French Cuisine, this had to be one of the most impressive rendition of chicken in ramen Iβve tried thus far ππ The star of the dish was definitely the beautiful chicken confit quarter leg that was indeed torched to perfection as promised! the meat was so tender on the inside with just the right amount of char on the outside π€€π€€ My only gripe would be the noodles, which were instant noodles-ish but definitely a notch better (and I liked that they didnβt overcook them so it still remained really chewy and bouncy!) This came with a decently done onsen egg and some black fungus for the health, and was so light on the palette with the clear chicken and dashi broth ππ Definitely a way underrated place to satisfy some ramen cravings and both service and environment are great as well! Especially with 2 bowls for only $14.30 on Fave, definitely worth a try! ππ»ππ»
This was surprisingly pretty freaking good and the very definition of comfort food after a bad day π₯°π₯° Loved the tomato dashi broth that was so flavourful yet light and tangy, topped off with that beautiful coat of torched mozzarella π€€π€€ Their yakibuta pork was pretty decent with a nice fat to lean meat ratio (though would have been nice to torch this too). Only gripe would be the ramen noodles that are like just a notch above instant noodles, but at least they didnβt overcook them and it was super QQ and chewy and held up the cheese and tomato sauce/broth so well ππ Definitely an underrated place for cheap ramen ($14.30 for 2 bowls on Fave) and service and environment are both nice as well! ππ»ππ»
My go to place for good and cheap Chinese desserts! The yam paste was pretty good and topped with pumpkin cubes and ginkgo nuts. Definitely a good place to get your orh ni cravings settled if you have no upcoming Chinese family dinners. Fast service, easy collection and definitely very very worth the price with the generous servings and great taste! ππ
Amazing place for Chinese desserts! Sesame and peanut paste are common, almond paste is uncommon, and walnut paste is rare and never seen before, but they have all 4?? Walnut paste tasted like peanut and almond, and was actually really really enjoyable with just the right consistency and wasnβt overly sweet as well. Fast service, easy collection and definitely very very worth the price with the generous servings and great taste! ππ
βGrilled striploin and mushroom ragu on sourdough bread with parmigianoβ π€€π€€ Beef was really well done, not in terms of doneness (cause look at that red rawness goodness) but in terms of how yummy it was!! Sourdough bread was nothing to shout about, but loved the combination of tender beef slices and sautΓ©ed mushrooms, topped with arugula leaves and parmigiano cheese ππ Absolutely worth trying especially at this price point! Lychee konnyaku sounded interesting (jasmine green and black tea with cranberries, lychee pieces and lily blossoms), but the floral taste was drowned out by the strong bitter black tea. But overall, a nice meal at a nice setting for a nice price! ππ
βToasted multigrain bagel topped with smoked salmon, creamy scrambled egg, ikura and avocado slicesβ π€€π€€ Bagel was nicely buttered and toasted, sandwiching generous slices of smoked salmon and avocado, topped with explosive ikura and scrambled eggs (that could have been creamier). Overall, another brunch dish well done, and such a good deal with a nice latte and chill HV vibes ππ
Pretty good and cheap German alternative to restaurants! Though the setting is in a coffee shop, the place was well ventilated and the food and price made up for it. The pork knuckle had nice crackling on the outside and was pretty meaty. Some parts were a little dry but it was generally a satisfying ball of yummy crispy goodness! The chicken chop was similar to any chicken chop you expect at a coffee shop and the sausages were pretty normal. Aglio olio was well coated at least and the mashed potatoes was decent (at least they made the effort to add some ingredients in). The sauerkraut was refreshing to cut the meatiness of the whole meal, which though supposed to feed 3-4 pax, was just nice for the 2 of us ππ Overall definitely a good place to have some German food though it may not be the most authentic, but at this price sure maaaaan ππ
Clean simple and good!! ππ»ππ» Every order comes with 1 protein + 1 base + 5 sides + 1 sauce. Got the beef bulgogi with cauliflower rice and apple cider vinegar gochujang sauce. For the sides I got the pickled cucumber, housemade kimchi, spinach, cabbage and chickpeas. Loved that it was a clean and satisfying meal, and the sauce was great! Though the beef was a little dry and didnβt really have that sweet bulgogi sauce, the meal was made super worth it with the $7.50 for $10 voucher on fave and their generosity with the meat portion. Also, they have so many options for each category like white/brown rice/buckwheat soba/cauliflower rice etc and so many more proteins and sides. Will definitely be back to try the others! ππ»ππ»
