NOTE ON PRICING, if you are ever going to order seasonal items by weight prices please remember to ask in advance and seek proof if possible. We were charged $140 for a small fish that barely fed 3 pax.
Ordered a few dishes. 1) Peking duck - meat was tough, dry, and skin was soggy. Didn't even taste fragrant at all and wouldn't even compare to local hawker chain Roasted Master. 2) TRUFFLE fried rice - no fragrance in rice, can't even smell a bit of truffle at all. We were told that it was their signature dish, perhaps not so signature after all... 3) Crispy salted egg / wasabi mayo prawn. Probably the most palatable dish in the entire set. I actually enjoyed the salted egg prawn, though it could be better if they used real prawns instead of frozen ones.
Service is average. Food is lacklustre. Don't be lured by the 50% discount on Peking duck because the quality isn't there at all. Your nearby hawker can do better.
NOT FRESH! I have never eaten a fishball that tasted so fishy before. I approached the china lady who was the cook, told her about it and she said there are no good fish during end of year so they (or their supplier, I'm not sure), mix other fishes into the fishball paste. Told her to try the fishball in their pot for herself, she refused, claiming that she had already eaten in the morning. If your Chef doesn't even dare to eat the food they are serving to customers, it means that something must be wrong with the quality of ingredients or preparation. With the rise in number of food poisoning cases, avoid this place at all costs. There are many better stalls nearby.
