The pasta was part of a set that included soup and salad and waffles with ice cream for 2 ppl. Whilst the soup and waffles and ice cream were just average, the pasta was interesting. The shrimp ramen from Le Shrimp La Mian is really yummy!!! $14++ for this bowl isn’t bad at all and you get wantons that are packed with sweet shrimp meat. The broth is just nice too, not too thick but not too diluted at the same time. The portion can be a bit much but that just means it is value for money!! Would recc #burpplesg #burpple

we tried some flavours that were pretty interesting like rosemary lemon tart and toasted milk. Ice creams melted really fast and the taste was pretty meh. The waffle was soft and had a strange sour aftertaste. Pretty disappointed as it looks really nice. Old Chang Kee is really cashing in on the hype surrounding our local flavours. Sadly this mash up of kaya toast meets curry puff fails to deliver, and is one of those dishes that should just have remained as an idea instead.... the puff portion is reminiscent of a curry puff but the flavour of old oil is heavy and doesn’t match well with the sweet kaya. There is no butter element either and the kaya lacks fragrance. I’d stick to my usual kaya toast, thanks. #burpple #burpplesg

A poke theory recently changed their sides to include corn and beetroot! The beetroot is pickled and quite interesting but the corn was slightly lacking in flavour. Pro tip is to add wasabi to the avocado sauce for an awesome new flavour!! And add the fried scallions too ☺️ #burpple #burpplesg

What’s not to like? The kaya toast flavour went better with the waffles in my humble opinion and the rose flavour wasn’t prominent, sadly. Still a pretty good rendition as the waffle was buttery and fragrant, crispy and moist at the same time! At $11.40 it’s not bad for price. They have egglet waffles too! #burpple #burpplesg

Really interesting concept of Korean and Penang food fusion. We tried their penang char kway teow (this is the upsized version) and it was full of wok hei and flavour despite missing the dark sauce! We also tried the Assam laksa which had a tangy and flavourful broth, really delicious! Highly recommend trying both these dishes and since it’s on Burpple Beyond you can get both for the price of one which is an absolute steal!! We also tried the chendol bingsu which is traditional flavours with a modern fusion twist and this was pretty delicious too 😛 #burpplesg #burpple #burpplebeyond

So I had to go redeem my Burpple 1-for-1 deals and check out the space! The crowds were insane on a Saturday night, it was difficult to navigate the queue and even more difficult to find a seat but we eventually did and I’m Glad we did because these waffles are SO GOOD. I’m personally a little biased towards Udders but Creamier waffles are a close second in the scene for me with fragrant crispy waffles with a soft and buttery interior. The ice cream was not bad too but not all complemented the waffles as well as i would have liked. The charcoal black sesame is awesome! #burpple #burpplesg #burpplebeyond

We got the salted egg yolk buttermilk fish and chicken with a side of cereal and this dish really lives up to the hype! The creamy salted egg yolk sauce enveloped the fried chicken and fish and there was a small kick of spice right at the end that was a nice surprise. I really recommend adding the cereal as it adds another dimension of crunch and sweetness that the dish otherwise lacks. At $8 for the chicken and $10 for fish + $2 for the cereal, prices are on the higher side but it’s so worth it for the quality and taste 😍😍😍 would definitely come back when the craving strikes! #burpple #burpplesg

I’m not exactly the biggest fan of ice cream but the flavours here are really interesting they do flavours like masala spice and strawberry basil, which were a little strange for me. I got the lychee raspberry and it was really smooth and not too sweet! I loved the waffle cone infused with thyme - the thyme gives a savoury touch and the smell of the freshly baked waffles is so insane!!! Wouldn’t travel all the way down just for this but Glad I got to try it #burpple #burpplesg

I didn’t get to try the chicken rice one but I love laksa so I had to give this a go!! The crust is the same as the normal curry puff and it’s rly flaky and delicious but the filling isn’t as fragrant as I would have wanted, the laksa flavour isn’t v strong!! And there’s egg and chicken and fish cake inside but I would have rly enjoyed if they put some taupok and taugeh and hum too??! Hahaha just a suggestion but still a good rendition and it’s an interesting pie!! #burpple #burpplesg

Still my favourite place to head for fresh and delicious salmon mentaiko sushi and all their other dishes are great too! My favourite has to be the triple salmon with 3 (!!!) flavours of salmon and the soft shell crab hand roll that is just packed full of deliciousness!!! Would recommend this place to anyone (but I don’t think it needs any more publicity, judging from the queues!) if you love sushi and you love salmon, check this place out!!!
