Mala-party ๐๐ฅ
$8.50 for lotus root, luncheon meat, pork and fish- Iโm sure the lady was judging my unhealthy choices when I refused to pick a vegetable (she gave me a once-over and asked me 3 times if I REALLY didnโt want the veg) but why pay for something I donโt like if I have the choice?
ไธญ่พฃ as always because I donโt believe in mixing pain and pleasure. Was slightly less spicy than the ones at somerset 313 and cineleisure
๐๐ผ Cheaper than the offerings at Orchard and even JEM
๐๐ผ Stall employees handle the ingredients, so (theoretically) more hygienic + queue moves faster
๐๐ผ Wait was less than 5 min
๐๐ผ Sauce was full of garlic
๐๐ผ Canโt choose exactly which ingredients and how much of each youโd like
๐๐ผ Base is more garlicky than mala
๐๐ผ They use disposable (wooden) chopsticks, plastic spoons and styrofoam bowls for the rice regardless of whether youโre dining in or not
๐๐ผ If youโre a vampire

Ok by now youโd probably realise that the title of each dish within this list is exactly the same/irrelevant.
My hoomans live super near to this restaurant and had ignored it for ages because the giant VEGETARIAN sign didnโt quite appeal to me (for kitties are naturally carnivores). Until recently when I was looking through a list of places selling ้บป่พฃ and this came up tops.
The sauce is really paw-lickin good and I usually shy away from ordering the noodles but for this you MUST get the noodles cause itโs perfectly cooked (slightly al-dante) and soaks up all that delicious spicy goodness. The ไธญ่พฃ here is more spicy than variations elsewhere and they went a bit crazy on the peppercorns cause I could not feel my tongue at all at the end. (How am I going to groom myself now???)
Other toppings that I tried: lotus root, ladyโs fingers, mushrooms, tofu skin. All were super fresh and crunchy. Total cost: $17.50 including 2 drinks, no rice. Minimum order is $10.
I still think that Carnivores are a superior breed but this was worth skipping out a meal of meat for.

Who says kitties can only eat kibblez and canned food?
