To be honest, the place is really suitable for takeaways. Food is decent, my unagi is nice! Im especially intrigued by the hokkaido scallop!
One improvement, however, is to use less of plastics, we dined in but were served with plastic plates and utencils?
Overall, food is worth the price, especially for such a high end location!
It was such a satisfying visit to Shukuu Izakaya, the busiest restaurant along stanley street. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I was also surprised by how well-versed the waiter was when he introduced some of their popular dishes.
Most importantly, the food is really creative and good! Amongst all, its Torched Vinegared Mocherel was really flavourful and fresh, its Tori Kara-Age has a special slight favour of cheese to it (and not too oily!), and its Rosti Mentai has a good texture and it went really well with the mentaiko sauce! Pork Jowl Charshu was also quite a highlight, but its more pricey for the portion!
I would definitely return for more! :D
There were several options to customise our dish, which is good, but i selected chef’s recommendations in the end. :b I ordered the Red King with an additional 1 spicy level (red king is considered spicy level 5 before any additional selections). It is less spicy than i expected, the broth was quite refreshing and the noodle (as i’ve selected soft) was to my liking.
