Unfortunately the rice and sashimi bits were served slightly warm. And it seemed that the rice and the meat were coated with a layernof stickiness. With eatigo discount, this only cost $11. But it will not be my first choice even with the reduced price :(

Unfortunately, the salted egg gravy tasted negligible. Meat itself was tender though

Not the best dish this place can offer. One might prefer to order their Har Cheong Gai and XO fish soup

Great companion with your rice. Thick and creamy, while spice level is manageable

Fish and Chips ($25)

The serving size for fries was huge. You dont have to order fries for sides if you are ordering this. Fries are the chunky kind that still remain a crisp exterior.

However, the fish itself was a disappointment. The batter lacked the crispiness, and the fish meat just keep slipping out of the batter when cutting through as if it is attempting its last escape from being eaten.

Truffle Mushroom soup ($12)

Rather pricey for a soup, and unfortunately the truffle taste was close to non-existant.

Nevertheless, the mushroom part of the soup was strong and bits of mushroom chunks could be felt to provide some texture when eating. The soup itself was thick and didnt taste like it was flavored with msg.

molten chocolate lava cake ($15)

Pricey, but the cake itself was well executed. The exterior is slightly crip, and breaking it revealed thw thick gooey chocolate sauce which seemed to be mix with a small amount of coffee/espresso

Take a scoop of the warm chocolate lava cake with the cold Vanilla ice cream to have the best of both world at your tastebud

$8 sambal kangkong: veggies were cooked at the right amount of time that did not make the leaves and stem too soft. The gravy tasted slightly different from the usual sambal that made it memorable. A must order

La La in Superior broth ($12): very peppery, and it opens up the appetite. If you order those heavy tasting dishes, good to order this as it will help to cut through the grease

The mid-joint chicken are decent, crispy and juicy. As you chew more to appreciate the juciness of the meat, the savoury saltiness of the prawn paste slowly develop in your mouth.
Munch on those tiny bits of crispiness toppings once you are done with the main meat. They are soft like sand yet crisp

For its location (Esplanade), the restaurant actually offers an affordable price point fornits dishes. This plate of har cheong gai cost about $12 for portion enough for two pax. Make the deal sweeter with burpple one for one deal

FYI, there is a promotion going on for their Claypot Curry Fish Head at $15.

Priced at $20, you can choose from Saury fish, tuna, or pork as your choice of protein. The stew is hearty and the broth itself is thick as seen from the fiery red color. The sourness of the kimchi is not overpowering, but rather soothing and encourage one to take another sip

$20 may seems rather expensive, but rest assured the veggies and meat portion are for two to three pax in mind.

Strongly recommend to add a bowl of rice to go with it. Otherwise, just order their original fried chicken to finish off the sinful night
