Combo mee sua (fried chicken and intestine) - $6.80
Dan Dan miam - $5.80
Tucked away in a little shop in Sunshine Plaza. This shop serves a variety of rice dishes - tonkatsu, unagi, grilled beef, omu rice, grilled pork belly and curry rice.
Demi glazed beef omu rice - $15
Black curry rice with tonkatsu - $16
Add green tea (matcha)$2 and got a 1 for 1 main+drink deal on Burpple beyond. Tonkatsu was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Beef slices on the omurice was a little chewy.
Food is great. Plates are of American size, too much for one and great for sharing. We shared 3 mains among 4 pax.
In picture:
Buttermilk fried chicken plate $25
Warm maple pancakes with blueberry $19
Spanish scramble $21
Hand cut fried $7
Third time at jin fine dining, always generous with thick slices of raw fish and seasoned grain rice. Staff are very friendly and helpful as well.
Food was not served warm, tom yum soup was very mild - neither spicy nor sour. Much better and affordable Thai food can be found elsewhere, in restaurant setting.
Items included in lunch set:
Jasmine rice
Seafood Tom yum soup
Signature drumlets
Fried spring roll/papaya salad
Items ordered:
Truffle floss fries - savory addictive fries with mayo and floss for sharing
Char siew nachos - a large portion of nachos with char siew, good for sharing
Dry ‘Bak Kut Teh’ pork ribs - bakuteh flavoring rissotto, like of bakuteh porridge
Prawn & ‘Hae Bi Hiam’ Pasta - we found this a little too dry for our liking.
Steak & Chinchalok - steak was very tender
Banana donuts milo dinosaur
No service charge or gst imposed. Went on a late morning for brunch and there was a long waiting list.
Ordered Rosti with cheesy sausage, and truffle scrambled eggs, both were excellent.
