TOASTS
TLDR: the more I had the ๐๐ช๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ (~$16) the less I liked it. The Balsamic reduction, drizzled on one of the softest sourdough Iโve ever had, was brilliant. ๐คฉ

Now for the bad: with a lack of a meatier, saltier component, the mildy carby pumpkin on bread duo lacked any complexity. A blob of whipped goats ricotta didnโt balance the dish at all, instead further accentuating its awkwardness. ๐๐ง
-
Perhaps a saltier cheese wouldโve fared better. ๐

If you donโt think about the fact that this is essentially a sandwich you could make at home yourself, the ๐พ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐๐๐ (~$17) is quite decent. Taste wise, of course. The pulled beef held a slight sweetness to nullify the cheesiness, and I actually liked the bread crust (shocker! I usually hate the crust)
-
But all good things come to an end, as I found the Jaffles getting too dry as I continued eating. The poached egg (which was more ramen egg than poached) did little to save that.

If you thought your studying content is dry, the ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ค๐ง๐ฉ๐ง๐๐๐จ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ (~$16) is drier. I have no idea how a sandwich can be dry even with melted cheese, but youโd be surprised.

Admittedly, I do love me a good grilled cheese and tomato soup combo. Punchโs ๐๐ง๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐จ๐ (~$11) was good, but it just didnโt hit the spot.
-
The tomato soup had a thick consistency, yet lacked that tangy tomato kick I was searching for, tasting more of a โpasta sauceโ than a tomato soup. ๐
-
The grilled cheese could do with being more grilled and toasted, since this had loads of potential to be comparable to the grilled cheese I had from ps cafe.

I was kinda indifferent about the ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐จ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ (~$17) though. The flavours were no doubt there. Great portions and aroma, proper contrast with the caramelised onions and capsicum, but probably not a good takeaway itemโ the multigrain bread soaked up all the teriyaki. ๐ฃ
I mean, you canโt really screw up ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐ง๐ค๐ค๐ข & ๐๐ฃ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐ค๐๐จ๐ฉ (~$4.50), right?
To be honest, there was nothing particularly wow about this. The toast was crispy and thicc, but definitely too carb-y since the ingredients were inadequate. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
-
Caramelised onions were extremely muted taste wise especially under all that melted cheese, and I had to separate the ingredients to taste each one. ๐ฉ
-
Sure, they arenโt charging $10 for this, (literally every bakery Iโm looking at you) but they have better items, skip this.

Cheese for DAYS. Thatโs exactly what Korioโs take on the ๐๐ง๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ (~$9) is. Melted cheese was stretchy and gooey, perfect for those of yโall who are dreamy of that โcheese pullโ. ๐ง
-
Perhaps they went slightly overboard on the cheese, because the onions were somewhat scarce. I wouldโve liked a more obvious sweet piercing onion flavour to counteract the dense cheesiness.
-
The bread crust was HEAVENLY. And this is coming from someone who usually ditches bread crust. All round crunchy at the edges, the slightly burnt crust was superb. -
Iโm still with Ps cafeโs grilled cheese โ but korio is definitely a worthy competitor.

Was skeptical trying the ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐จ๐๐๐ง๐ฅ๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐๐จ๐ฉ (~$14), bc frankly, its pricey for toast, and how can everyone like it?
.
But oh BOY. The mascarpone๐ฅฐ. Smoother than ricotta, fluffier and lighter than cream cheese, the mascarpone met its sweeter match in the form of honey. Spread out generously on the famous sourdough, and you got yourself the perfect brunch toast ๐
.
The honey, though clearly visible, wasnโt that obvious. Some parts were inbalanced and drowned out by the mascarpone.

You know itโs good when you still think about the ๐๐ค๐ช๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐ค๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ (~$12) hours after eating it ๐คค Homemade Ricotta was SO SMOOTH and creamy, and the sweeter dried baby tomatoes contrasted the dense ricotta amazingly ๐ Also did I mention how generous they were with the ricotta? It was probably as thick as the toast itself ๐ Save yourself the trouble of choosing from the menu and GET THIS! ๐

๐๐ค๐ข๐๐ข๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ช๐ฉ ๐๐ช๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐ฉ๐ค๐๐จ๐ฉ (~$6): a unique blend of hazelnut and almond butter spread on thick sourdough, the added honey on top added a nice light sweetness! ๐ฏ Although I thought they could add more nut butter though ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ

Been craving this Creamy Mushrooms on Sourdough (~$14) with Scrambled Eggs (+$3) for months ever since I saw it on someoneโs instastory.... ๐
.
A generous portioned of creamed shimeji mushrooms were presented on top of soft sourdough, anD DAMN IT WAS GOOOD ๐ Sourdough never got soggy throughout the meal despite the creamed mushrooms on top, and the sweet sundried tomatoโs disrupted the creamy texture of the mushrooms and herb cream ๐
.
Scrambled eggs were fluffy though slightly overcooked at the bottom, but hEY I would willingly pay $17 for this anyday ๐
Ig @goodfomood
Berry Yoghurt Toast (~$10) was not only visually pleasing but also pleasing to my tummy ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Different types/degrees of sweetness from the berries/yoghurt and honey worked well with together with the difference in their textures ๐๐๐๐ฏ
.
Sourdough toast was lightly toasted, crispy on the sides and soooo soft and fLUFFy on the insides!! It doesnโt look like a lot but trust me itโs filling! ๐
