Not a big fan of Bak kut teh to begin with, so this was just ordinary to me. Actually thought the dishes were pretty salt - they made my throat pretty dry. The pork wasn’t as tender as well.. in fact I found song fa BKT to be of a higher standard than this.

Braved the lunch queue for this one. (Realised some geniuses actually used whyq to order the day before). Looks deceivingly simple but it really isn’t - there’s the noodles, chashu, fried meat, egg they have to individually master. And then there’s also the saffron that they added. I could see the effort they poured to every dish and it really did end up tasting good. I highly recommend supporting (when you have time to wait) bcos I’m a sucker for excellent work ethics

Soup was slightly salty but the fish was shockingly tender and smooth. I am not a fan of fish soup so I wasn’t expecting much but was greeted with a pleasant surprise.
Went during lunchtime (12pm) - we were almost caught in the lunch crowd but were lucky enough to be ahead of them by a few mins. Had our fish soups served in ~10 mins but the owners did say an average wait time could last from 20-40 mins. The queue really forms quick so they ain’t lying! Be ready to brave the heat but this fish soup is a must try for me.

Bought 2 each of Matcha, Peanut, Sesame Tang Yuan with Peanut Soup. I’ve been wanting to try to this for the longest time! It’s a decent dish with a good ratio of filling to dough. THOUGH I have to say I expected more with all the hype around the brand and its peanut soup...

Don’t expect a wow-this-is-a-crazy-good meal but you can count on it to be palatable, hearty and satisfying!
