The Fried Chicken sandwich ($16) contains a generous slab of crispy yet tender buttermilk fried chicken, paired perfectly with garlic aioli and chipotle honey dressing, accompanied by crisp shredded lettuce, all wrapped in a fresh brioche bun. Needless to say, I deeply enjoyed this sandwich and will be back for more. The only thing to note is that it can get quite messy to eat as the size of the chicken far surpasses the size of the bread but no complains. PBD can get quite crowded on weekends and limited seating is available. 1 for 1 available on Burpple Beyond.

The Cubano ($16) consists of pulled pork, ham, mozzarella cheese, dill pickles and coffee dijonaise on crusty Turkish pide bread. Overall a very tasty combination - the pulled pork was well done, bread was crusty and fresh, cheese blended in perfectly. This was, however, a little towards the salty side hence I’d recommend it to everyone except for those with a lighter taste palate as it might be too salty for you. Do note that seating is limited and PBD can get quite crowded on weekends. 1 for 1 Available on Burpple Beyond.

Linguine pasta served with crab meat in tomato cream sauce ($26) This is one of my favourite pastas on the menu, having been here several times. Real crab meat is used, portions are generous and the tomato cream sauce is so tasty that you’ll be using your bread to mop it up at the end of the meal. Highly recommended! Service is usually great too! 1 for 1 available with Entertainer 2019.

La Nonna Pizza ($24.50) is the signature pizza at La Nonna’s and a staple order every time I visit. A generous amount of black truffle paste is used on a cheese and tomato pizza base, completed with asparagus and a delightful runny egg in the centre. Service is fantastic too! 1 for 1 available on Entertainer 2019.

Smoked duck aglio olio ($10.90) Pasta was al dente, smoked duck was...well, smoked duck. Decent for a quick meal, but nothin extraordinary. Would recommend the mains much more so than the pasta at this place. 1-for-1 available on Burpple Beyond.

Grilled Thai Boneless Chicken Leg with Coconut Risotto ($16.90) this was a very interesting fusion dish! Chicken leg was flavorful and tender, coconut risotto was complemented by several chunks of fried broccoli. Very impressed but the creativity of the dishes in this seemingly unassuming establishment. 1-for-1 Available on Burpple Beyond.

Linguine Pesto Prawn ($19) Pasta was al dente, pesto was decent but nothing to shout about. Worth it with the Burpple Beyond discount but otherwise I’d give it a pass.

Garlic Snowing Pizza ($25). The thin crust pizza came with a sweet white sauce (think something similar to classified chicken from dominos), shrimp, a generous amount of garlic chips and Parmesan cheese that is grated onto the pizza at your table. (Also comes with pineapples, but we requested to have it without) pretty decent and tasty, would recommend this is you like garlic! Available on Burpple Beyond and Entertainer 2019.

Sizzling Garlic Rice ($23) this was decently flavorful but a tad too oily in my opinion. Available on Burpple Beyond and Entertainer 2019.

JUJU is a small kiosk tucked away in Botanic Gardens, a minute or two from the entrance to Botanic Gardens MRT. There are several flavors to choose from, we eventually went with Chocolate. The regular bowl ($8.50) came with generous amounts of granola, sliced bananas, frozen blueberries, coconut chia seeds, complete with a drizzle of nut butter. The lady at the kiosk was extremely friendly as well! There is hardly any seating tho, so it would be convenient to grab a bowl and have it on one of the park benches instead. Fairly value-for-money and pretty tasty as well!

Chashu Miso Pasta ($18) was another interesting fusion dish. It came with 3 thick slices of chashu which were not fantastic but pretty decent, miso sauce was tasty and not too salty. I personally felt the Nori was slightly too overpowering, a sprinkle would’ve been enough.

Pleasantly surprised by the basil beef burger ($17). Beef was seasoned well and full of flavor, brioche bun was light and fluffy. It came with a side of greens, tofu and peanut sauce. The only down side was that the tofu was fairly bland. Otherwise, the burger itself was a pretty interesting fusion dish.
