Items ordered: dark chocolate eclair ($8), ispahan eclair($8.50), earl grey latte ($5.5), ice chocolate ($6) & Darjeeling testa valley ($5)

Food: 2.5/5 - not a big fan of their eclairs & drinks..
Ambiance: 4/5 - place is rather cozy & comfortable for afternoon tea
Service: 2.5/5 - they have a policy that require every customer to order at least 1 drink... mmm service crew wasn’t very pleasant either.
Overall experience: 2.5/5 - won’t return again also won’t recommend anyone to try.. and nope not even with 1 for 1 beyondburpple discount

We were looking for desserts and drink on Burpple Beyond, and found Duxton41. Located at 41 Duxton Road (obviously), Duxton41 is a boutique bar opened by a pair of fitness enthusiasts.

It’s unusually quiet for a bar, with beautiful Thai silk hanging off the ceiling. There were customers sipping tea and having cakes, while others were enjoying a glass of wine.

We ordered the vegan lemon curd tart and ultimate fudge cake. The lemon curd tasted a tad too sour for my liking, but the ultimate fudge cake was yummy! Little did we know that the desserts were sugar free and made from brown rice protein!

It’s definitely an unique experience dining at this bar. If you are looking for guilt free desserts to end off your meal, do drop by this place.

P.s. I am not sure what are the official Burpple Beyond rules, but the bar owner (I think) didn’t allow me to use 2 deals for 4 pax. He said he was told by Burpple that it has to be redeemed from 2 separate phones. But other restaurants have allowed me to claimed 2 vouchers from my phone so I am pretty confused.

How their chicken meatballs are so perfectly juicy is like a magical mystery to me, and the light cream base that never stops impressing with every mouthful of spaghetti. 🤤

It should be a crime that I miss this more than local food at the moment (and I had it before I left!); it ain't your typical plate of pasta, that's for sure!

Nice quiet environment to get some things done at the co-working space Distrii. It is a new expansion 2+ months old, conveniently next to Raffles Place MRT exit. Cappuccino was nice but felt more of a latte. Not sure which beans used but it was of high acidity; goes well with those liking latte. Friendly service - will be back!

Aesthetically pleasing cafe (think marble tabletops, bar stool counter to watch your coffee being prepared, instagrammable walls, dried flowers, and the liberal use of matte black hues throughout the cafe) with good coffee to boot! I can foresee myself coming back for a coffee fix or if I need a nice spot to do some work at.

Very easy to drink black and a smooth flat white. “Splurged” an extra dollar for soy milk cos we got 1-for-1 for our dranks with #BurppleBeyond. 👯‍♀️

Mellower Coffee is an established coffee chain which started back in 2011, and has since expanded with a handful of stores under its belt across Shanghai, Nanjing, Kunming.

This is an express outlet, straight forward for takeaways and quick meet ups.
I wondered about Marina One, you can tell that a lot of money went into it, but it felt lack of character and soul.
