Adding colors to my day with a slice of creamy Rainbow 🌈 Cheesecake (S$6.50)
Accompanied with a glass of chocolaty Mocha (S$4.70)
With the so instagramable wall (I told my mom I got to have a similar wall in my new place) and so relaxing background music. No wonder time past so fast 💨 while I was in at @acousticcafesg which was located just a five minutes walk away from the MRT station.

The Watermelon Treat is one of their creative snacks which uses melted marshmallows to bind cereals together before sprinkling chocolate chips on top of it for a final flourish.
This candied treat is incredibly addictive and its flavour just grows on you as you indulge in it.

The poor burger was made to sit for 20 mins as we were busy with the photo-taking and tasting of the appetisers. But surprisingly, the bun is still as crunchy as it was supposed to be.
The beef patty was well marinated with onions, black pepper and some of the undisclosed secret recipe. That kept the moist and tenderness of the patty.
Not to mention, my australian-grown-up partner adores the caramelized onions on top of the patty. "Recipe from Australia bringing back a taste from home" .
Sweet tooths, head on down to Bali Lane for a beautiful new Osakan import. Exclusive to Singapore are two yummy flavours that look great but even taste better. The fragrant Peranakan Road ($12.50) features coconut ice cream in a buttermilk bubble waffle slathered in kaya, then topped with sweet potato fresh cream, mango, dragonfruit and mint leaves. Alternatively, their Little SouQ ($13) sees Thai milk tea ice cream wrapped in a chocolate bubble waffle and topped with cream cheese, dried figs, coconut flakes, dates, pumpkin seeds and pretzel.

This Upper Cross Street inhabitant specialises in vegan tea lattes that aren't just delicious, but healthful too. Get this: they make their own cashew milk (as a base for all their drinks) from scratch by grinding quality whole cashews with no artificial additives. The Burpple community has nothing but praise for the creamy and well balanced Creamy Cashew Earl Grey ($5) and the Sweet Potato Latte ($5.50) that has a roasty, caramelised aftertaste.

Hainanese Chicken Rice Quinoa Salad. It had no rice in it, instead it’s Quinoa. It’s a cold salad, so the chicken is chilled. (My mum is one person who likes her Hainanese style chicken chilled in the fridge!!) Some will say not conventional, but I am sure those who are avoiding rice like mad will want to try the quinoa version. There is achar that is hidden beneath too. It can be quite filling when you have it with a drink! Only available at @StarbucksSG Jewel Changi Airport. Oh yes, they have collaborated with @UddersIceCream by supplying their coffee to make Cold Brew ice cream!
The single platter is a great spread of 4 freshly baked pita bread, 2 falafels, fava beans, hummus and labna cheese. All the components were delicious and rich in flavours. The green #falafel (not featured in the photo as it was served later) is a deep-fried ball that amazingly isn’t oily or dry and highly tasty with its mix of chickpea and fava beans. With #entertainersg 1-1 platter, the meal was highly affordable and satisfying

Dim sum-body tell you that @yumchasg first opened its doors in the heart of Chinatown, with the aim of bringing back the dim sum tea house concept in a shophouse setting. Other than being famed for their wide variety of dim sum, they also extended their menu to include favourite local items and seafood dishes.
。
Definitely a place to curb any dim sum cravings!

An interesting tapas. In keeping with the theme, they've replaced the cutlet in a katsu with bak kwa. Using their "gourmet fusion" variety, which is a mix of pork hind and pork belly, but instead of barbecued, it's more like ham. It's deep-fried and it's sweet so it's difficult not to please.
Had the Oreo cheesecake flavour and taro flavour. Do note that the gelato deal means 1 for 1 on double scoops ($6.50)! I enjoyed the flavour of the oreo cheesecake but I felt that the texture was lacking, it wasn’t creamy and it was difficult to scoop up occasionally. The taro was more creamy but the flavour wasn’t exceptional, tasting rather ordinary instead of a strong, rich authentic taro I was looking out for. But overall decent ice cream here, will recommend with burpple’s 1 for 1 deal and if you are in the area.

This is a chic casual cafe, specialising in coffee and jaffles. What's jaffles? Well, it's a sort of toasted bread sandwich, with a variety of either sweet or savoury options.
.
This features crisp toasted jaffle sandwich bread, filled with a creamy house mac and cheese / macaroni and cheese, and a generous portion of tender chewy gochujang braised pork.
.
Predominant flavours are savoury salty cheesy. Kudos for the good execution, because so many things could have gone wrong (it could be dry, gamey, flavours too strong or heavy) but didn't. Instead, this is well-balanced and delicious.
.
Served with a side of creamy grainy mashed purple sweet potato, which has a delicate earthy sweet flavour.

I love a good steak so the automatic choice of protein when I ordered the Fajitas was the Angus ribeye. But admittedly, the other options of the signature Wagyu meatballs, Berkshire pork, chicken, seabass, tiger prawns and vegetables were very tempting too.
The beef that arrived looked like it weighed at least 200gms or even slightly more, and was quite thick. It smelled so good sizzling on the hotplate with soft capsicums and browned onions that I could feel my mouth watering.
Eating Fajitas is always fun, don’t you agree? The process of taking the pieces of meat and rolling them up in the tortilla (the set comes with 4 of those in a separate container) with a bit of the guacamole, salsa, sour cream, cheese and jalapeños is enjoyably interactive. But the most important bit is whether the taste makes the cut, and despite the beef being a bit more of a medium than my preferred medium-rare, it was tasty, juicy and still tender enough. So La Salsa gets a thumbs up from me.
By the way, this place is on Burpple Beyond, so you can enjoy 1-for-1 for mains and tacos here as well. Honestly, the savings is very attractive.
