Someday - East
All these for just $26! The green curry and tom yum soup packed heat, so would be good to order either or. The lemon chicken is definitely something to shout about though. Sauce was zesty and one thing unique about the sauce is the inclusion of salted egg in it. Didn't know lemon and salted egg can be combined like that; expect an explosion of flavours in your mouth! Average per person at $9.30 only! #burpplecheapngood
The fried egg had a golden lava goodness and the tender yet juicy chicken went so well with the crunchy vegetables and slightly charred rice. The spicy yet more tasty than usual bibimbap sauce added the last touch, to confirm that this is really the best bibimbap I have eaten.
Chocolate: 8” $38, 10” $58

Tucked along the narrow street of prata haven, Jalan Kayu, lies this unassuming cake shop. From afar it looks like one of those shady massage parlors from Chinatown. However, in it stood a big boned fella, brimming with confidence, as though he knows this will not be the last time you are here to buy his cakes. True enough, Jane’s cake station may seemed a little snobbish with only 2 flavors of cakes in its arsenal. But that is exactly how you know they are good. Jane’s chocolate cake standard is really decent. Except for that hint of saltiness that baffles me, the rest is simply impressive. Chiffon is moist not dry. Chocolate fudge is not too thin nor thick. The fudge also does not harden after long hours of chilling in the fridge unlike most fudge cakes, which is amazing! I personally prefer Jane’s over Lana’s. No offense to Lana lovers out there heh. Overall, i give it 4.5 chopsticks outta 5!
Got me so excited when I accidentally found this hipster cafe/coffeeshop at Anchorvale CC, because it made my trip all the way from the west to the northeast area even more worthwhile! I wished I had such a hipster CC in the west too. Spent a great evening dining, people watching at Legend as it is situated along the scenic Sungei Punggol and across the Sengkang Riverside Park. What's more, legend has live band performance at night, with both indoor and outdoor seating.
There's a wide selection of food; you could either go local zi char style or the western pizzas, pastas, mains. Cheap beers are available too! We had the meat lover platter which has portions just right for 2 people. Comes with:
1. Sirloin steak which you can specify how well you want it to be done
2. Juicy Cajun chicken that was marinated with spice and had a crispy layer of skin
3. Grilled pork chop that was tender, not too dry
4. Mashed potato with a smooth texture and savory brown sauce, not too buttery
5. Grilled pork sausage and grilled cheese chicken sausage which was my favorite of all because the cheese really bursts out upon cutting, and even more so in the mouth
5. A side salad amidst the meatiness
Help yourself to the sauces available such as black pepper, mushroom, mustard, chili, ketchup!
Yuzu white chocolate mousse, mango confit and vanilla souffle sponge with MOMOTARO
ももたろう tea. Perfect combination after my morning barre class.

Back here again! Coffee here is strong, smooth, extremely well-flavoured and really the whole package. I’ve introduced this to my friends and they have consistently been mindblown by the standard of the coffee here, as well as the really affordable prices. This is really my absolute favourite neighbourhood/heartland coffee place!

We came here on Saturday afternoon and this place is packed with people. We reached around 12:30pm and queued about 30 mins before we could get in. So, make sure to come early if you decide to go to this cafe.
Generally, all their food is good but our favourites are their crispy wings, pork avocado & eggs ben and baileys affogato (coffee with bits of chocolate topped with ice cream, yumz).
After lunch, we also ordered some tarts (not shown on the photo): Lemon Meringue ($5.6) and Chocolate Seasalt Tart ($5.6). Their lemon tart is just what I like, not the sweet kind and more towards the sour type and the crust has just the right amount of thickness. Chocolate tart has the perfect balance of sweet, bitter and a hint of salty. Recommended to try 👍🏼
Food: 8/10
Ambience: 7/10
Total damage: $25/pax
Croissant was toasted till crisp, scrambled eggs were creamy, ‘nuff said. Would definitely order this again.
The whole cafe is insta worthy and good thing is it's quite quiet & not crowded which means easy for you to take photos! They are very generous with their portion (as you can tell from the photo) and the bun is so tasty. The chicken is a little oily and I don't like how my chicken is served with the skin 😅 nevertheless the sauce is good and the price is pretty affordable for a cafe price. That to say, I LILAC it 😉
im not a porridge lover but when i saw rave reviews of this place - i knew i had to go! the signature porridge is chockful of ingredients - super delicious! and worth every dollar. however, be prepared to queue!
