Broad Appetite
I was craving for some churros during CB period so I went to La Lola to get them. Not many places in Singapore sell good old churros.
Love it and portion is huge, so it is good for sharing. I ordered Classicos medium size (6 long pieces at $6.90). Do note that the dip is sold separately, so I opt for dark chocolate as I don’t like overly sweet stuff. The dark choc sauce has just the right balance of sweet👌🏼.
Total price paid is $9.90 (medium Classicos + dark chocolate dip). To me, price paid is worth it as they serve premium churros & serving size is huge (can be shared between 2-3 people)
Tip: Staff is friendly as well. I requested my churros to be fried longer as I like them crispier😋
This may not look delicious but this is one of the best healthy bowls that I’ve ever tasted. I chose the DIY bowl (small $8) and portion is already quite big. Opt for soba as the base and chose salmon (+$4) as the protein with other toppings that came along. I like their spicy mayo sauce (not too spicy but still give a lil kick to the tastebud). Total price for this bowl is $12.84.
Would like to come back again for work lunch when CB period is over.
Went to try this ice cream shop as there is Burpple 1for1 deal. Early Grey flavour (left) did not have strong taste of earl grey which is a bit disappointing while blue one tasted like oreo mcflurry. Price wise, it is definitely value for money as we only paid $7 for two cups of ice cream (using Burpple Beyond).
Very generous serving of ice cream despite mediocre taste. Note that there are limited chairs inside the shop so it is more for takeaway.

Went to bao today for a casual dim sum during one of the weekends. Everything is relatively good and price is really reasonable as well.
We ordered a lot lot more items than the picture shown and had our satisfying fill of dimsum.

Ordered Prawn Aglio Olio ($25) which has a slight kick of chili🌶 and Meatball Bolognese($24). Our favourite is hands down the Prawn Aglio Olio.
Although it’s not shown in the picture, we also ordered full pint of Asahi Super Dry ($16) and Connor’s Stout ($15) after our meal. Connor is more for ppl who prefer stronger and bitter taste of beer.
Overall, Harry’s is a good option if you would like to find a bar with nice ambience, good food and drinks. Another good news is that they have promotion during happy hours so their drinks can be pretty affordable.

Crispy Wings ($10)
Crab Cake Benedict ($18)
Pork & Avocado Eggs Benedict ($15)
Basil Pesto Mushroom Toast + Pork Sausage ($17)
Baileys Affogato ($6)
Iced Latte ($5.2)
We came here on Saturday afternoon and this place is packed with people. We reached around 12:30pm and queued about 30 mins before we could get in. So, make sure to come early if you decide to go to this cafe.
Generally, all their food is good but our favourites are their crispy wings, pork avocado & eggs ben and baileys affogato (coffee with bits of chocolate topped with ice cream, yumz).
After lunch, we also ordered some tarts (not shown on the photo): Lemon Meringue ($5.6) and Chocolate Seasalt Tart ($5.6). Their lemon tart is just what I like, not the sweet kind and more towards the sour type and the crust has just the right amount of thickness. Chocolate tart has the perfect balance of sweet, bitter and a hint of saltiness. Recommended to try 👍🏼

The Populus Scramble ($17)
Big Breakfast ($21)
Went to this small cafe for a brunch on weekend and it was quite packed. Highlight is The Populus Scramble: creamy, fluffy egg combined with savoury bacon👌🏼. Big brekkie was pretty normal. Would definitely recommend The Populus Scramble if you come here!

Mentaiko Mac & Cheese ($21)
Crab Linguine ($19)
Pork Burger ($19)
The cafe has a very nice ambience and suitable for group of friends. We came on weekdays’ night so it wasn’t too crowded. My fav food is the Mentaiko Mac and Cheese: not too surfeiting and it has just the right amount of mentaiko.
Crab Linguine has so much crab to it and the sauce is not too sweet. Personally, i do not like sauce that is too sweet. Pork burger is normal but the meat is very soft and tender.
All their portions are relatively huge and prices are reasonable considering their location (no service charges🙌🏼) Worth to try if u pass by the area👌🏼
