9 piece sushi lunch set

We were pleasantly surprised that this lunch set has an uni and fatty tuna nigiri at its given price! The set also comes with a small salad, chawanmushi, miso soup, green tea and dessert💕 Really enjoyed our meal there!

A must-order for tamago fanatics! Remember the viral videos of tamagoyaki being made skilfully by Japanese chefs? These skewers are as good as it can get and they really hit the spot for people like me who just wants to enjoy some good tamagoyaki without all the effort ~

4 types of salmon in a bowl? What more can I ask for 🙌🏼 Beneath the salmon fiesta is a bed of Tanuki raw’s signature mixed rice. The rice isn’t too special though, tastes like some Japanese rice seasoning of some sort.

The sushi rice was a little mushy this time round. Other than that, the sashimi was fresh and delicious. We also ordered a smoked salmon belly which was really good! The staff was very friendly, and chatted with us while the food was being prepared. A very pleasant experience in all:)

A truly hearty meal for one! Even though the unagi don is smaller, the sides that came with the set were really satisfying:) The tamago doesn’t have the typical sweetness to it, and the dessert of the day was mochi!

Light yet sophisticated. The rice is neither clumpy nor is it overwhelmed by vinegar. Every burst from the fish roe adds a little kick to the tuna belly maki. Is it really worth $20 though 🤔

However, it seems that they’re standard has dropped :O The rice was really lumpy and mushy, and the salmon was not as nice as before... I really hope it was just plain bad luck that we got a bad roll today.

It was labelled “Die Die Must Try”, so I tried it.

The wagyu beef slices were nicely torched and tender. The rice to toppings ratio was just nice as well, unlike other dons I’ve had, so I wasn’t left with a lot of plain rice at the bottom of the bowl. Do give it a try!

It was a lot more chocolatey than expected - Fresh berries and chocolate rice crispy calls atop a layer of chocolate sponge cake, whipped cream and rich chocolate mousse 🍫

I’ve heard stories about raw pancakes before, so I was rather wary about these Japanese pancakes.. but these were really fluffy and cooked through 👍🏼

Oh don’t you worry about feeling hungry after the meal! All their tempura dons come with a charamushi and miso soup, along with the usual free flow pickled vegetables. Fullness guaranteed 👌🏼

Glad we tried their mentaiko salmon don! It was a bowl of salmon cubes coated with a generous layer of beautifully flamed homemade mentaiko sauce.
Chirashi don was alright, pretty average 👌🏼 Their wasabi is the real deal though, mind you :o
