Cocktails
My first sip got me taken aback as it felt rather jarring. It was as though I was drinking lime juice and alcohol separately instead of one coherent drink altogether. I felt that this cocktail had potential but somehow the composition of the various components did not go well.
I was so intrigued just by the name of the drink and it did not disappoint. The drink tasted like kopi initially and eventually the bitterness hits you; mimicking the actual process of drinking a kopi. The traditional Singaporean biscuits are provided to help those who aren't a fan of the bitter taste of coffee.
It was made using lavender gin, lime and cucumber juice and the end product is nothing short of a surprise. It tasted rather fruity as expected but it also had a overwhelming striking aroma. I liked it best with the fried chicken as it helped to neutralise my taste buds a little.
Ordered this as it's name sounded very interesting and it did live up to expectations. There was some rose extract being used but the proportion was well controlled as it did not overpower the vodka. The frozen rose and rose bits also provided an additional sensory experience. This bar is crazy popular so I would recommend getting there before 10pm if you like a seat!
This one turned out to be really refreshing as the meringue blended well with the gin and lime extract. The alcohol taste was still distinct despite the heavy usage of lime and lemon extracts
I had too high an expectation for this as it was made with some of my favourites which include sake and yoghurt. However, the eventual drink was too sweet and didn't have much of alcohol taste.
