Had dinner at this fusion bistro tucked at the fringe of the CBD after work the other day. The vibe reminded me pretty much of those hipster cafes in the streets of Japan.
Great service! We are given complimentary nuts that were apparently freshly roasted in store.
Had their Chestnut Pork Belly, Herbs Chicken Thigh, and mini Salmon Don. The meat were savoury and flavourful. Chicken was slightly on the salty side but went really well with rice. Their Salmon Don came with a raw egg yolk that added an additional flavour profile to the rice. Really tasty! I will recommend to finish your meal with their Honey Toast which is great for sharing!
Overall, the food are slightly on the pricey side but they made up with fresh ingredients and great flavours!
Buangkok residents can now escape the sweltering heat at this new hipster gelato spot in Hougang Green Shopping Mall! With it's flashy neon lights and unique gelato flavours, be sure to add on Waffles for $5 to go along with a single scoop ($3.90) of Hojicha, Caramel Popcorn and White Chrysanthemum & Goji Berries. Burppler Xing Wei Chua sang high praises for the Milo Dinosaur, which was "sufficiently rich without biting the throat given the “heatiness” of Milo and just sweet enough without being cloying."

A hole-in-the-wall cafe with Taiwanese vibes, @sweetcraftsman offers Swiss rolls, tarts and other bakes.
The most eye-catching will be the Matcha, Tieguanyin and Chocolate Raspberry Fujiro ($7.80 each), featuring an Mt Fuji! So pretty, which is why I ended up with two.
Matcha Fujiro consist of matcha sponge cake layered with matcha, strawberry and whipping cream. Though the strawberry overpowered the matcha fragrance.
Generous amount of toppings. Right mix of açai. Truly one of the best açai around.
