My favourite was the squid with potato purée (1st pic), and the Morning After pizza was good too.

Beautifully juicy, with a hint of bitter the lemon slices, and a most delicious spiced mayo. Even the fries are just the right amount of crisp.
The Iberico pork ribs were great too - tender, flavourful and approximately fat.

Surprisingly inexpensive too - $24.90!
The one at the back was the ribeye. Nice enough but not quite for me.
The sides though - need so tweaks. But when you’re showcasing cuts of beef, I Guess you don’t really need anything to distract.

But what took my breath away was the dessert room. What a beauty! All the desserts big or small were gorgeous, some of it is really tasty, and the mango pandan cake is a must try.
The beauty is fitting because the location itself is just stunning.
It’s at $148 for the buffet, and you add $20 for free flow of alcohol.

I went to the branch at Changi City Point.
The udon selection is not bad, especially this - the Garlic Chicken Maze Udon.
Love the kick of spice and the creaminess is the egg. I didn’t quite taste the garlic though, which is a pity cos that would have elevated the dish.
Skip the tempura though. Ordered a prawn and it was maybe 60% batter. And room temperature tempura batter is not cute at all.

It is one of the classics at this restaurant and I’ll share my thoughts about it in my Weets Eats column on Thursday.
Anyway, about the phat thai kung - well, it’s very pretty.

OCK’s one is available from Monday Sep 15 at all outlets, the F.East one is available at 7-Eleven stores and Redmart now.
I broke keto just to test this for you (my dedication!): the beef rendang was v full on in your palate, the chicken curry was subtle. One was a HELLOOOOO and one was a 👋🏾.
Both are worth trying out, even if it’s for novelty sake.
Thanks to Pink and Niqi for being my product models (they probably thought after New Face, they never had to pose for me again)! And I included a video - sound on please! - to let you hear the crunch effect!

It’s not easy to eat there though: it’s only open on weekdays for a few hours, and the menu is small. So you get whatever you get.
Luckily, whatever you get, chances are that it’s going to be good.
I turned up on a day it served a chicken chop and a beef stew. Both were excellent!
The staples were great too: sugee cake, chicken curry (not in pic), meat sandwich (name I forgot).
If you ran out of lunch option and am in the mood to explore, and you’re near the Downtown line (a short walk from Bendemeer MRT), go now!!!

By the time I got there, there were only Unicorn Tears (1st pic) and Vegan Cookie Butter left. Both were equally sweet, although the Vegan Cookie Butter probably had more depth.
The cones are perfect for the ‘Gram but I won’t return too soon.
Now let me go hang my head in shame for being so weak.

In fact, it’s Japan's Number 1 Kaiten Sushi chain.
Sushiro makes its debut in Singapore (and South East Asia) on Aug 19 at Tiong Bahru Plaza. It offers a mind-boggling variety of dishes (over 100) and most of it is priced at $2.20 a plate.
I’ll save my opinion on the food for my column, but if you’re planning to visit, be adventurous and try combinations that sounds bizarre. I found those to be the most exciting!

It’s an expanded menu of hot dishes and the signature carbs.
PS: the Dempsey outlet also houses Plank Sourdough Pizza.
