Featuring the Matcha Latte ☕ (RM11.90) from JWC that has a hint of coffee in it to add some bitterness to the overall earthy flavour of the drink.

Had a double scoop at their neighbour before popping over here and this rich & chunky ice cream was really the perfect treat to end the evening with! 😋

some of the best fried chicken I've ever eaten in my life! 🍗 Get in on this while you can as today (23/6) is @birdfolks.sg's last day of operations at NEWest 😭 .

Absolutely gutted to hear that Birdfolks is singing their swan song after serving up what is considered to be the best fried chicken in the West - and some even say the whole of Singapore! - for almost 2 years.

American-inspired and Asian-spiced, the chook at BirdFolks boasts succulent meat in a thick crunchy caramelised crust with a rich infusion of local herbs and spices. The flavour lingers on both the batter and the meat within, and every bite releases the oozing juices 💦 from the chicken which has been brined overnight for 12 hours to lock in all the umami flavours. Has this got ya drooling yet? 🤤 .

Besides having their awesomely delicious chicken on its own, you can choose to have it in their salads 🥗 , burgers 🍔 and sandwiches 🥪 , and even pair it with their specialty rice 🍚 , @birdfolks.sg's interpretation of 'chicken rice', where you can take your pick from good ol' Original, zesty Cilantro Lime, tangy Tomato Oregano or the savoury Garlic Butter rice.

So gonna miss the Southern grub with an Asian twist at BirdFolks! 😢 But wait, there's some good news!!! Like a phoenix rising from the ashes (you can probably tell I enjoy my bird metaphors 😆), BirdFolks will be reincarnated as @Paddyfolks and you will still be able to get your fix of their signature fried, savoury & tasty chicken along with their specialty rice offerings at their new joint at the up-and-coming @funansg from 28th June onwards! I for one can't wait for their grand opening! 后会有鸡!!! 🤗 .

Usually not a fan of cauliflower but the Curried Fried Cauliflower from Stateland Coffeehouse has completely won me over! Seasoned with curry powder and garnished with cheese flakes and spring onions, these cauliflower bits make for an addictive snack that I couldn't stop munching on! 😍 .

As far as I know, this is only available as a side dish for their Laksa Egg Benedict (good stuff, I tell you) but I sure hope that @stateland_coffeehouse will sell this on its own! 🙌

Just launched a couple of days ago and available in 2 sizes (Mini: $2.90, Regular: $4.50), the Ovaltine Crispy Cone 🍦 from HEYTEA reimagines the childhood favourite malt beverage in ice cream form!

Topped with bits & chunks of chocolate crunch, the Ovaltine ice cream here will delight chocolate lovers with its smooth, creamy goodness! 🍫

Been a long time since I've eaten at Fish & Chicks 🐟🐥 and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they've introduced a new sauce, Curry Cheese, to go along with their all-time favourite Chilli Crab and Salted Egg Yolk sauces! 😋 .

Though it was hard to pick out two flavours from the trio, we decided to have our Best of Both Worlds ($13.90) with their Curry Cheese and Chilli Crab sauce!

As always, the battered dory fish fillets 🐟 had a perfectly crispy exterior which was light and airy while the fish itself was soft, moist and flaky. It paired nicely with both the Chilli Crab sauce which was mostly sweet with the slightest tinge of spice and the Curry Cheese sauce which was creamy and mildly spicy though lacking in cheesiness. Wish there was more sauce to go around though! 😫 .

That's how I'll describe the Smoked Salmon Bowl 🐟🍚 ($12) from Tie Fun Wan which is littered with vibrant orange hues 🧡 from the smoked salmon & pops of ebiko alongside ingredients like daikon, bonito flakes and spring onions.

Though the salmon is kinda obscured by the plump 63° egg in this picture, I can assure you that there is a generous portion of salmon hiding underneath all that clutter and there will be more than enough to satisfy your pescatorian cravings! Still not enough or feeling greedy for more of that mouthwateringly delicious smoked salmon? 😍 You can always order the Smoked Salmon as a side dish so you can enjoy more of the fish minus the rice at the same price! Woot woot! 🙌 .

As with all their bowls, you get to choose either Koshihikari premium rice 🍚 or dry lamian 🍲 for your bowl and I'll highly recommend having this bowl with the Japanese pearl rice so you can fully savour the Jap influences in it 🇯🇵 .

A luscious lychee red tea flavoured with dried fruits & honey and boasting fragrant lychee notes, this is a refreshing drink that is perfect for a sultry afternoon.

At either $6.80++ for a glass (dine-in) or $9+ for a bottle (retail), this may be a tad on the pricey side but there's no denying that it makes a fine accompaniment to the delish Chinese plates served up @shangsocial 🧡

Wanna know why?

Let's start with the base. It's @tamoyasg's very own house-made red miso soup that boasts an umami flavour which is oh so hearty! 😋 .

Next, we have the tender beef slices which have a good ratio of fats to meat. As always, the udon here is a delight too with its silky yet chewy texture! So slurplicious! 🍲 .

And the happiest moment of my experience here? In terms of visual pleasure, it's watching the onsen tamago 🍳 getting poked by the chopsticks and oozing golden yolky goodness all over the bowl of udon 😍 And of course the ultimate pleasure would be to finally dig in and enjoy this oishii bowl. Itadakimasu!!! 🤗 .

And this baby from Citrus by the Pool is something I'll always say "aah" to! 🤗 Found under their menu as the Catch of the Day ($16.90+), this dish features a thick slab of pan-seared salmon 🐟 served on a bed of mashed potato alongside seasonal vegetables like corn 🌽 , broccoli 🥦 , cherry tomatoes 🍅 , mushrooms 🍄 and sweet potatoes 🥔 .

A pescatarian's favourite, the salmon fillet here is grilled to perfection such that its flesh is succulent while its skin is crispy and slightly charred! 🤤 .

To finish, the dish is then doused in a homemade cream sauce which really elevated the overall taste of the fish, mash and veggies. Yummy! 😋 .
