Went at 12pm and was welcomed by a long line of CBD employees 🥵 Luckily they opened up their extension and we were able to get a table within 10 minutes of waiting. Nasi Lemak was decent (sambal chili was good, but not reminiscent of the authentic chili/ fried chicken was honestly... dry ☹️) on the sides: sambal sotong and sayur lemak were good but definitely not at the price point of $10.80++ and $8.5++ respectively!!! Overall a 7/10
Think thick, rich broth that you know have been boiled for hours together with juicy prawns and succulent pork ribs - and many would think of the Beach Road Prawn Mee found along East Coast Road. I never fail to leave this gem disappointed, always going back for the Prawn Mee with Pork Ribs (smallest at $6.80), dry and soup available.
Complemented with fried ngoh hiong, be sure to grab some crispy prawn “crackers” as you slurp on those noodles!
And I dare call this “fast food” because with their efficient operations, waiting time for the noodle and ngoh hiong never passes a 15 minute wait after ordering.
Quick tip - go around 2-3pm, I personally feel that the broth is the richest then. Oh, and they’re closed on Tuesdays!
