Rather hard, not v good. At first I was thinking is it my fault for warming it in an oven but probably nah, don't think it can contribute this much to a change in texture

Surprisingly I felt their peanut one was ok only

Really famous shop in China, so good. The egg yolk was a lovely hint, and the floral fragrance was so enchanting without being overbearing. Texture was excellent too.

After having this, the next 蛋黄酥 I had was so bad in comparison lol, really set my bar too high

From MDM Ling bakery

"probably the best"

Truly not bad tho, the paste is top 5 in my books so far. Smooth and complex, there's probably quite a bit of other stuff added. Do heat before eating, it makes a huge difference here as the paste becomes less viscous and there's a bit of lava-ness

Maybe just my imagination but I felt it didn't have as deep a caramel flavour as the one I bought from CSM last time. Nonetheless, still REALLY REALLY GOOD

Good as ever, hard to believe one of their tastiest buns is also the cheapest

Durian was abit mild but otherwise decent

Not bad, the mix of whole red beans and red bean paste makes for a satisfying bite. What's impressive is its size, it's quite literally twice the size of their other buns(cos the red bean fills the bun to the brim)

The strong pandan and coconut aroma hits you immediately, but quickly meshes tgt such that you don't notice any elements individually. Truly combining into one creamy entity. So indulgent, one of the best I've had(and I dig Kaya). In fact, this was better than the JB outlet's version

Super velvety texture too

Not bad, the filling was q generous

PS rlly happy they opened an outlet inSG, ik I'm late to the party but still

Would travel for food
