The tomato chutney was a little spicy but it was amazing and it’s my favorite thing throughout the dish! It was full of flavors that’s complemented really well with the mild cheese & spinach souffle. I appreciate that the parmesan-crumbed eggs’ yolk still flows even though it’s fried again. I can’t really taste the parmesan but it was no big deal as it’s probably covered by the amazing chutney. The savory french toast was fluffy without being too soak-y, perfect! This item is not what you regularly see on brunch menus so if you’re curious, do give it a try, it’s a great dish overall!
I also tried their sweet french toast that I’ll post later coz I don’t want you guys getting overwhelmed bc reading too much :)) So far, I really recommend you visiting Wild Honey if you’re a brunch person honestly coz there are various interesting brunch items on the menu!

Here, I’m just gonna say that I was surprised of the amount of MSG that was there... I mean like why would you put a pile of MSG in a dish like that?

Their Baked Salted Egg Yolk Buns are.. AMAZING!!! 🤩 The runny salted egg filling tasted incredible with the right sweetness and flavor, the baked buns were soft and the top crust just makes it PERFECT! The filling-bun ratio is on point, MUST MUST HAVE! This is not your regular Liu Sha Bao! Save this for your future trips to Singapore, you won’t regret it!
I also liked how their Cheong Fun’s skin is nicely & consistently thin, as you might know some cheong funs have parts where it’s thin and parts where it’s unpleasantly thick which I don’t like. Their Crispy Cheong Fun is filled with crispy you tiao (cakwe) & shrimp and I also recommend this one, also because their sauce taste nice 👍🏻, cocok sama lidah orang Indo gitu, kadang yg di SG suka aneh beda rasa tp yg ini enak!
Hargau and Wonton comes with nice amount & taste of prawns, their shumay was also nice. I kinda feel like their XLB is a little lacking in flavor and skin too thick but still enjoyable.

Came here because I was craving matcha soft serve, and I say theirs is quite good! Matcha was there, and I really recommend getting one topped with warabi mochi! 😍 their warabi mochi is soooo soft and really good! They also have warabi mochi boxes/cups that you can purchase!
In frame is their Matcha soft serve parfait with complete toppings that include: brown sugar jelly (but nicely not sweet at all, probably great source of fiber!), an ball (red bean), shiratama and matcha jelly. The whole parfait was nicely not really sweet and as a strong-matcha seeker I say this one is recommended!
Another thing I was interested in is their Double Chocolate parfait (chocolate custard + chocolate) but unfortunately I probably should’ve tried another filling? The chocolate custard tasted nothing like chocolate and the amount of nice chocolate was so little. There’s no matcha flavor in the obanyaki, too. I really didn’t enjoy this one :(. Maybe other fillings might be a better choice (should see if the batter would turn nicer w/ another filling tho, unpleasantly cakey this time I tried)

Even though it was just a little amount in the middle, I can taste that the burnt cheesecake filling was delicious! 🤩 the cheese flavor is there (it’s made with 4 different types of cheese!) with the right sweetness! The croissant was also nice and I actually liked how the parts close to the cheesecake turned a little soggy and there’s also the crunchy parts more to the outside.
I heard great reviews on their burnt cheesecake, really should’ve tried them too but oh well next time again then!

Their CHOCOLATE BANANA croissant was AMAZING! 🤩 as a chocolate banana fan I really approve of this! Love the generous portion of banana and chocolate inside, topped with gorgeous almond biscuit layer, really enjoyed it!!! If you love chocolate banana you should get this trust me! You know how some choco-banana bread comes in disappointing amount of filling (& sometimes the banana turned hard :/)but not this one!

Ok guys I lanjut pake bahasa Indonesia supaya jelasin perbandingannya lebih gampang.
Kalo soal rasa, kwetiau di Indonesia masih no. 1, tapi char kway teow ini mungkin lebih ‘ngena’ di tekstur. Kalo di Indo, you either have kwetiau goreng atau kwetiau siram, tp yg ini itu kayak goreng tp ada basah”nya dikit, which was quite pleasant and made it tasty. Sometimes I fine kwetiau goreng di Indo terlalu dry that’s why for tekstur I like this one, tapi of course kalo rasa kwetiau Indo gaada tandingannya, sebenernya as a conclusion kwetiau Indo masih no. 1 di hati haha. But actually the two are incomparable tapi klo gini caranya I think kwetiau sapi mangga besar deserves a Bib Gourmand award too!
Kalo penasaran gimana boleh mampir soalnya antriannya masih ok, but actually gak ada yg spesial gimana haha apalagi buat orang Indo yaa
OHH tip! Add eggs for SGD0.5, trust @veronicaphua ‘s advice! Makes the kway teow better!

In frame is the Creamy Salted Egg Chicken Rice which was indeed the creamiest of all salted eggs I’ve tried.
There were still solid substances in the sauce which were probably chipped cheese slices because they’re textured and tasted like one.
Taste-wise the salted egg was there but of course kinda overpowered by the creaminess. It was very luscious and delicious at first but of course, it was so creamy and it gets a bit overwhelming towards the end.
Another thing I’d like to point out is probably the batter-chicken ratio which was a little bit below satisfactory. If you see the ‘generous’ amount of chicken right there, hmm there’s actually also lots of batter there too!
If you’re a fan of creamy stuffs, Jia Yuen’s “Creamy Salted Egg” should definitely be on your bucketlist!
They also have non creamy aka regular “Salted Egg” which I suspect will be less creamy and I’m curious to find out.. if only they were closer to MRT station haha (I almost got lost coming here wkwk)

but this time when the ban ban x ovaltine hype is occuring in Jakarta, I was quite interested, so here is me trying a super similar thing in Singapore.
Heytea’s “ovaltine bobo shake” had existed a longer time ago but I’ve just tried it recently. It was GOOD! Really liked the whole thing. My favorite part? Hmm I think it’s the crunch on top, or maybe the crunchy chocolate spread on the inner surface of cup? Or the shake? Idk I just think the drink as a whole was great!
Ever since I’ve first tried Hey Tea’s tapioca pearls, it became my favorite because it was lightly chewy, the lightest from all I’ve tried, but still chewy.
I opt for ‘skinny sugar’ that’s available at Hey Tea which is a great thing used to replace regular sugar as to reduce calories. I still reduce the skinny sugar tho, so the drink wouldn’t be overly sweet.
Last picture is their Taro bobo shake. With purple taro tapioca instead of the regular tapioca pearls, taro cubes, and taro shake, the whole drink was okay. My favorite part was the taro cubes.
To end this I recommend the ovaltine bobo shake! I’m sure you’ll love it!

The risotto was nice 👍🏻 just a little cheesy and I really like the little bit of soup that added more ‘Hainanese’ element to it.
The chicken was thigh aaand I’ll still prefer chicken breast but I think they did a great job on the chicken! Even though it was chicken thigh I was still able to enjoy it, it was flavored nicely!
Really enjoyed the whole thing andd definitely coming back to try the other menus!
Conveniently located in Bugis near Haji Lane, @stateland_coffeehouse is somewhere you should go for fusion dishes aaand they’re a house with @brotherbird_bakehouse who’s famous for their mochi croissants and soft serves!

First picture is their Yuzu Shoyu ramen and the second is their Yuzu Shio Ramen. Shoyu means soy sauce & Shio means salt, hence both ramens differ in taste. Shoyu one has some distinct flavor compared to Shio which my mom likes as it has led to a more ‘flavored’ ramen. Shio ramen is also good in a different way. Both are uniquely good, you can definitely taste the refreshing citrus hints of yuzu in the broth that you won’t expect in other types of ramen.
Afuri is a must try for people wanting to try a uniquely different ramen, especially people looking for lighter versions! They also have non-yuzu ones which is also a good shoyu ramen!
Btw you can opt for different chashu and they also have sous vide chicken breast to replace the chashu!

There was only 4 sets of menu and the difference amongst them are just the gyukatsu size and wether you’re having grated yam. We had the gyukatsu sets without grated yam. Each set comes with rice, cabbage, potato salad, a soup and sauces.
We had to pan fry our Gyukatsu on our own which was fun! The gyukatsu was really tender and juicy, really easy to bite and chew! The flavor of the gyukatsu itself was amazing even without the sauces! 😭👌🏻 My favorite sauce was the tonkatsu sauce that was actually pointed to be used as the cabbage dressing 😂. In conclusion, Gyukatsu Motomura is a restaurant you should visit when you’re visiting Japan! The meat was, I’ll mention it again, real good, better than my expectations👌🏻. ㅇ
