Every table that came here seemed to order this. The ricotta is freshly made in house and I’d never tasted a smoother ricotta in my life. It was silky but light as well making it so palatable. The cherry tomatoes were so fresh as well, slightly blistered and so sweet. All this was balanced out by the tang from the sourdough that held this all together. Could possibly eat this everyday.

Just look at that cheese melt and I think that’s enough to say how I felt about this. The bread was crusty and the blend of cheeses lended just enough savoriness to the sandwich. The strands of sauerkraut helped to cut through that richness and the tomato jam on the side added a freshness and acidity to each bite. Just wished they had options to add some sort of protein in the sandwich.

This depends on the nut butter they decide to make and this time was an almond-hazelnut butter. The paste was little bit chunky which I appreciated and the honey drizzled added a slight but not overwhelming sweetness. The toasted nuts added a nice crunchy texture too but the HERO was definitely the bread slightly tangy but so fragrant.

The grain bowl also comes with grilled eggplant, baby spinach, salsa, quinoa and the bread of the day which was a breadstick on the day I went. The breadstick was super flavorful and herby yet crispy and buttery and probably my favorite part of the grain bowl. The other elements were decent but the quinoa could’ve been seasoned better as it was bland. The bread and coffee here is really good though and I’d recommend.

Slightly misled by the name of the drink as I thought it would be an espresso shot with the ondeh syrup but it turned out more like a latte. The drink was topped with coconut flakes which added a nice toasty flavor but the overall affair was way too sweet for my liking. The syrup they used was quite reminiscent of an ondeh ondeh though and I could easily taste the coconut and gula melaka.

Everytime I order drinks that try to recreate a childhood snack of mine I get abit worried that they just use food coloring which makes it taste fake. This drink surprised me though, it was a very refreshing mix of lime juice and calpis and I’m guessing abit of sprite which made it quite tasty especially on a hot day. It was also accompanied with Calpis pearls and was a fun addition to burst it in my mouth.

The rice bowl came with with an onsen egg, ramen crisps (basically mamee noodles), 2 pieces of pork belly, pickled cucumbers and the rice was topped with a small salad. The menu said it would come with an edamame salad but there was none of that in the bowl. When you mix in all the ingredients in the bowl, the rice actually becomes quite a tasty mouthful, with different flavors and textures from the sauce, mamee noodles and salad. The pork belly is quite tender but 2 pieces of pork seems like a sad serving size. The whole rice bowl was also abit too cold for my liking?? like it was prepared way ahead of time.

$6 for a serving of sourdough from Burnt Ends accompanied with EVOO and a hazelnut dukkah. There’s also a choice of truffle butter instead. The bread had a nice tang to it and the crust of the sourdough was quite addictive. The EVOO adds a richness to it while the dukkah adds a nice texture and a slight spice.

This came piping hot in a cast iron pan and the cheese sauce still bubbling away. The pasta was well cooked with a slight resistance to it and allowed the sauce to coat it really nicely. Cheese sauce was super yumz and rich and sinful especially on a rainy day but i’m a sucker for cheese😩😩

It came with generous chunks of bacon which added a nice salty flavor but unfortunately the truffle didn’t deliver and I couldn’t taste or smell any truffle flavor. If you look past(a) that it was pretty good and a generous portion that’s enough for sharing.

Came with prawns, soft shell crab and a fish fillet. The seafood was reasonably fresh but the sauce was quite tasty with a spicy kick to it (wish i had mantou to dip). There’s a raw egg mixed into the sauce to make it thicker but it was still abit watery for me and didn’t adhere well enough to the pasta. But overall a decent pasta for the price and portion $14 with no GST/service charge and is one of the most expensive things on the menu already.

Do try their coffee/teas/bread when you’re here though and they have a pet-friendly section if you’re into that kinda thing

Braised short ribs on the new pacamara menu so I decided to order it and it was rly good. the accompanying spinach and mushrooms were nicely cooked but the short ribs were sooooo tender didn’t even need to use a knife to cut bite size pieces. the cauliflower mash that the short rib sat on was super creamy but was abit hard to scoop up

Pretty huge wagyu patty with the standard accompaniments: tomato, onion, lettuce. Also comes
with bacon and an onsen egg which made it a real juicy mess to eat and was abit pointless on the burger in my opinion. Flavor wise it was decent but nothing to shout about and I wouldn’t have ordered it without the Beyond 1 for 1. Appreciated the effort they made in the details like toasting the bun and encasing the onsen egg in an onion ring so it wouldn’t leak all over.
