Hawker
I'm okay with the noodle dishes here but you definitely can't leave without trying their spicy wantons; probably one of the best i've had in SG and the portion is soo good for the price!
Think slippery smooth wanton skin filled with generous amount of minced meat; each bite is juicy heaven with the perfect spicy-sour balanceš
Love how the portions here are always pretty generous and this was pretty yummy though i would've liked the sauce to be thicker and a little less sweet. There's quite alot of minced meat though and i love how the cucumber slices gives the dish a refreshing crunch
Didn't think that the noodles were spicy, maybe just abit, but i love how the noodles here carry a pretty nice bite whilst being not too thick, and i love how you can taste the peanut fragrance in the sauceš
@sweet.rex is a hawker stall that has recently moved from their previous location of Mei Ling Market to Alexandra Village Food Centre. .

Tastewise, they were light with a rather melt-in-your mouth consistency. However, they were a little too moist and mushy, and lacking the buttery, eggy fragrance that I always seek in my pancakes. Definitely can't be compared to certain more expensive ones I've had, but they suffice to curb cravings especially when on a budget.

Do expect some waiting time, especially during lunch hours because the stall is run by only 1 person who takes and prepares all orders. The owner was super nice though; Was sitting around waiting for my pancakes which were taking longer than stated and she came over with a free scoop of ice cream to apologise for the long waitš

For this price, I would say its super value for money because they really don't skimp on their ingredients. Despite going for just the small bowl, the portion was actually filling enough.
The noodles were super thin kind, yet had a nice bite to them, but otherwise rather ordinary (like any other wanton meeš ) and nothing special.
The winning factor of the dish for me lay in the quality of the ingredients used, for which i can fathom the hype over this stall. The shrimp wontons were fat and juicy with thin and silky smooth wonton skin, and the ramen egg perfectly flavoured. I loved the fried potato prawn too š And the slices of char siu?? So thick with nice meat-fat ratio, and even the fats i usually detest were melt in your mouth good...
