Pretty Dope
~$47 for two sets. Best place for jap grilled fish, always with queues.
Pizza was good but not fantastic - crunchy and fluffy crusts all around. Three 12-inch pizzas and 3 pastas were more than enough for 7 girls and with burpple beyond, dinner was very worth it. Great place to catch up in groups now that Phase 3 has started, be sure to make a reservation though!
Pretty impressive Antipasti platter! They were really generous with the portions and had a variety of bite sized snacks on it! (:
Quaint little café with a very vintage vibes. Easy to get to as it is located conveniently near the MRT station (Sixth Avenue Station). The servers there were also friendly and warm.
I got myself the Signature Pork Ribs. I found them really tender and flavorful. The ribs came along with 2 sides dishes of your choosing. Definitely worth a second visit.
Tasty grilled skewers! Ordered the Chef Selection (5 x skewers), and they were juicy and well prepared. Had a pleasant dinner experience.
The Denver steak (medium rare) was really flavourful and delicious. The marbling of the steak was fantastic!
The side dishes that’s we ordered, Creamed Kale ($8) and Sautéed Thyme Mushroom ($8), both of which were surprisingly good! The Kale came coated with a rich and creamy sauce. And the mushroom was simply delicious.
A really huge shout out to the staff, they were friendly and pleasant throughout our visit. A great place to hang out and chill right after work!
Located at ION orchard basement, the restaurant is convenient and easy to get to. The restaurant was well staffed on the evening we were there.
First looked at their menu, I knew I had to try their Green King Ramen ($16), looked absolutely unique! The blend of basil and olive oil went really well with the rich tonkotsu broth. It was topped with a generous potion of grated Parmesain.
My girlfriend ordered their special off-menu Nagi BKT King Ramen. Definitely a quirky fusion for Japanese cuisine. The broth was rich and flavourful. It came with an enormous pork rib and plenty of scallions.
When ordering your ramen, you get to choose between Chashu (Slice Pork Loin) or Kakuni (Pork Belly). We ordered a different one for each of our ramen, and honestly...both were tasty!
Overall, it was a pleasant dinner at Ramen Nagi, the ramen was good and reasonably priced. Will be back for more!
Located just a 2mins away from Outram MRT station, this restaurant is convenient and easy to get to.
They serve really fascinating Asian-Western fusion food. Starting from top right in a clockwise direction: Pork and Seafood bite ($14), a tasty small bite right before our meal. The deep-fried beancurd skin was surprisingly crispy and they were pretty generous with their portion of achar on the side.
Foie Gras Lotus Rice ($18), a very interesting take on lotus rice. The pairing was on point. I personally found the lotus rice really fragrant.
Bak Kut Teh Risotto ($22), I was really curious how this dish would turn out! Not too shabby, I was half expecting them throwing a Bak Kut Teh rib on the risotto! Hahaha. Well, they went with stewed pork ribs, which complements the risotto, though the former would have been hilarious. IMO, worth trying!
All in all, will definitely be coming back here again to try the other fusion choices.
We ordered the unagi garlic fried rice, woked porridge and salmon sashimi.
The garlic fried rice was pretty amazing. It was tasty and well balanced. Definitely should try.
The porridge was decent, something different and unique. The presentation was a little lacking tho.
The sashimi was special, it came with soba sauce and a hint of truffle. All-in-all it was worth the price, and worth the try!
