This CKT is different where it’s does not have the sweet tasting dark sauce coating. The $4 portion comes with prawns and the mandatory cockles on top of the usual chinese sausages, fishcakes, eggs and beansprouts. If you are looking for a sweet and savoy CKT then this might not be the right choice for you 》$3

The stall owner does everything on his own from taking orders, frying each plate of CKT individually and collecting payment so you need to factor in more waiting time should you be in a rush for time.

There are just too many food options and I loveee hawker food. 🥰😍⁣

Feat Nam Sing Hokkien Mee (small plate $5). 😌Finally had the chance to try this highly raved plate of hokkien mee. The wait for the noodles took about 25-30mins. ⁣

Nam Sing HKM is pretty different from the rest of the hokkien mee stalls that I’ve tried. They use thin beehoon noodles instead of the thick beehoon that most hokkien mee stalls use alongside with yellow noodles. ⁣

Interestingly, they don’t serve their hokkien mee with sambal chilli sauce, instead they serve it with freshly cut up red chili 🌶. ⁣

If you are one that prefers your hokkien mee w sambal chili or prefers your hokkien mee to have strong wok hei taste then this plate might leave you feeling abit ‘lost’. 😂 ⁣

but if you are up for appreciating a good plate of hokkien mee that is nicely flavored with prawn and meat stock, then Nam Sing Hokkien Fried Mee is the place for you. 🥰🤩⁣

😋Silky smooth chee cheong fun for breakfast. I got the prawn filling (S$2.50/roll). Its freshly made on the spot. The hae bee hiam chilli, fried shallots topping and light & slightly sweet soy sauce pairs well with the thin rice roll. My favourite chee cheong fun. Recommend👍.

Fong Sheng Hou is well known for their sandwich at Taiwan Shillin Market and now had arrived in Singapore Payar Lebar Quarter

I try the TW special pork patty set with milk tea which cost ($9.60)which is on the high side for a sandwich and a milk tea, anyway I would say the charcoal grill bread have a right thickness, crispy and soft, for the ingredients the patty is kinda thin for the price but would like to say the star would be the egg which soft, moist and fluffy.lastly the milk tea is very smooth to drink.

For the service is amazing because even in their busy period the person that is at the collection counter when and extra mile and check on my number to make sure i get my food because she saw me waiting for sometime.

Have been eyeing this place since it opened because it seemed quite affordable. Honestly wasn’t expecting much, but it was not bad! This is their snow beef don ($11.90), which consists of a very generous portion of flame-grilled thin beef slices, topped with a cream sauce and Parmesan. You also have the choice of stewed cabbages or seasoned beansprouts, of which I chose the latter.

Didn’t think it was a lot initially, but they really pile up that beef! Although tender, it’s on the sweeter side, so those who prefer their savoury food to be less sweet may not enjoy it as much. You can also taste how charred and smoky the beef is too, which surprised me. I thought it was really value for money for the portion of beef though, even though the cheesy cream taste got a bit overwhelming for me at the end. The beansprouts are the Korean kind and I liked them quite a lot.

Overall, not bad, and quite value for money! Sort of like Yoshinoya, but the quality seems a bit better to me. Quite a big portion too, felt like I could have gone for the mini bowl which costs $7.50 instead, but note that the bowl looks much sizeably smaller. P.s. They also have a promotion going on now where you can get up to 30% off if you’re having a late lunch

High class version nasi Lemak, it’s quite pricey but worth to try. Beside that they have a lot of variety like soft shell crab, grouper fish and many more.

In a coffee shop??! 😱😱😱

YES, you read that right!  Nestled in a nondescript coffeeshop in Tampines,  the team at @dsocialoutcast have poured in their heart and soul to bring the world of brioche (with legit grill marks, y'all!) to the heartlands. 😁🌟

Prepared fresh by the owner Mint (over a @kopaoven grill, no less), we especially loved the French Onion and Mushroom Beef Burger. ($9.90) 🍄🐄🍔 The portion of beef patty was generous and oozing natural juices, and coupled with savoury mushrooms and naturally sweet caramelised onions on soft fluffy brioche bread, it's a sure winner! Not entirely crazy about the fries cos I personally prefer thin shoestring fries over fluffy fat fries, but the refreshing side of tomato salad really hit the spot with its subtle basil and olive oil flavours. 🍅🥗
Also been craving chicken skin aka ayam kulit for the past week, and finally got my fix! ($3.90)Yayyyyy!!! Definitely not the type you get at the pasar malam, this rendition comes with a topping of umami furikake. Although some pieces  could have been more crispy instead of chewy, we really enjoyed the mix of flavours! And yes, it's Muslim owned so no pork and no lard are used! 👍🏻

Tucked away in Bedok's Happy Hawkers, this stall opened by an ex-DTF chef doles out familiar favourites at a fraction of the price. Think ultra-comforting Pork Ribs Fried Rice ($6), Dan Dan Noodles ($6) and Pan-Fried Dumplings ($5), all under $10 each. The only catch? Weekends warrant about an hour's wait for food — hit this during off-peak hours instead.

The egg fried rice is perfectly fried with the grains still maintaining its fluffiness. It’s packed with wok hei and fragrant aroma from the eggs. The highlight of the dish is the pork chop. It’s surprisingly tender and well-marinated. Definitely worth the calories!

Am a loyal fan of TBB’s brownies, but I finally decided to try something new! Baked fresh daily based on seasonal ingredients, TBB always has a surprise in store. Crisp outside and chewy inside, this brookie ($4.20) is stuffed with 74% semisweet dark chocolate and is definitely an indulgent snack!

Lured in by all the cookies and indulgent fillings that are piped in with syringes. You get to pick which cookie you want, and a choice of three fillings. Being indecisive, we went with the Half & Half although the Biscoff, Reeses and Pretzel Cookie bases looked amazing as well. A syringe full of Nutella was poked into the four quadrants of the cookie and ejected, before the remaining Nutella was swirled on top.

We were also eyeing the soft serve and the guy serving us suggested topping it with soft serve as “it’s very good together!!!”. After making payment, you can wait for your cookie at the small eat-in section next to the cashier. There are no seats, and only two tables, but it’s very cute and instagrammable. Don’t spend too much time instagramming or taking photos though, as the soft serve melts very very quickly (as evident from our photo).

On its own, the soft serve doesn’t really stand out as there’s not much of a distinct flavour but I found it complemented the cookie and filling extremely well. It brought out the chocolate and buttery cookie as well as Nutella taste even better. The cookies tend to be on the soft side, which are lovely and easy to eat with the tiny plastic spork. The Nutella filling wasn’t too overwhelming either, and each component of the cookie and soft serve actually shone as a sum of their parts.

I find it rather amusing that all the staff are in pretty good shape (most likely gym buffs and health-conscious individuals), but are serving such calorie-laden treats. How ironic. Anyway, as their catchphrase goes, it’s worth every calorie and I’m not denying that. Will be back to try the other flavours!
