Food that you just gotta pick up with your hands to eat

THE CRONCH was greatly cronchy, even with the sauce slathered over it. It’s also hard to eat because there are several pieces of pork belly stacked on top of each other, but no complaints because I enjoyed every bite. I didn’t quite like the mustard, but it cuts through the fat so makes sense. Service was good too. 100/10 happy.

Burger > fries. Patty was nicely seasoned, and the mushrooms tasty. I personally prefer more mushrooms, but it’s still filling. Fries were more soggy than crisp, but otherwise ok. Also appreciate the clean toilets and sinks for hand washing!

First time having burrata pizza, and loved the contrast in texture and temperature! You have to burst the cool cheese and spread it over the hot pizza. Was simple, but delicious and satisfying.

Eligible for Burrple’s 1-for-1 and worthy of its crowd-favourite status. Would return for this.

* Note that they’ll ask for everyone in your group to be present before seating you. I was fine with waiting at the chairs provided outside, though it was strange because it was empty when I arrived. Starts to fill up from about 7pm onwards on a weekday.

Been patronising Bread Yard since they first began at SUTD’s one-north campus, and I wish they’d bring back the rendang and bread pudding! Went for the shakshuka ($14), and added mushrooms ($2.50), which was 10% off at lunch time with a reservation via eatigo. It was a fairly filling with two large slices of bread, two eggs and substantial amount of sausage. However, the shakshuka itself is more watery than hearty tomato/pepper sauce that I was expecting. The bread looked crisp on the outside and appeared to be soft and fluffy inside, but it’s actually quite dense and chewy - great for dipping into the shakshuka, but not so much on its own with butter (happy they provide butter tho!). Skip the mushrooms cos they were fairly wet and tasteless.

Used Burpple Beyond for this! Both pizzas are $25 each, and the final bill was about $30. Quite worth it for 16 slices of pizza for three pax. The garlic snowing pizza was surprisingly delicious (the pineapples & grated cheese!!) and not overpowering. However, the sweet white sauce can get jelak cos the fried garlic/shrimp/pineapple doesn’t cover all of the pizza. The meatatarian is more balanced as the toppings are savoury. Staff were really nice too (:

Came here with a friend at lunch, and it’s crazy hot cos all seating is outdoors and close to where the shade stops. Had The Ribs ($14) with sesame bagel without jalapeños, as the cheddar/garlic bagel options were unavailable. It came hot and cut into half. Meat was tender and went well with the veggies of the day. Was seasoned simply and wasn’t oily. Bagel was ok, but hard to eat if you have a smaller mouth cos it’s a lot to fit. Service is fast!

Eating is a social activity ☺️
