Had the Tonkotsu Pork Cutlet with Black Curry and the Demi Glace Beef Omurice. The pork cutlet was fried to perfection and the skin was crisp and yet not too oily, while the meat was juicy and flavourful. The curry was flavourful and had a kick unlike the typical ones from other curry places.
The slices of beef were tender and oozed richness, although a small gripe would be that they could have been thicker. The omurice was well done, with the egg placed on top of tomato fried rice. The egg could have been creamier and cooked less, but was adequate for it's purpose. The demi glace sauce struck a great balance between saltiness and flavour, and was not overly salty.
One final note- drinks are compulsory if claiming the 1-for-1 on Beyond. Overall, a very satisfying dinner for the price!
Had the Valhona Chocolate and the Dark Chocolate Stout. Girl at the counter told us that the Stout tasted better than it sounded. She was right! The Stout gave the ice cream a depth of flavour and a hint of lightness - a pleasant contrast to the Valhona Chocolate, which was deep, rich, and utterly sinful.
