The store is relatively new, but features a perpetual queue! The also sell out rather early, so I’d suggest dropping by before 9 pm. The mango coconut ribbon ($5.90) features a medley of mango cubes, mango ice cream and sheets of coconut jelly! I thought the coconut balanced the sweetness really well. Enjoyed it lots and am looking forward to try more :-)

Added a scoop of gelato ($2.50) to the signature waffle set ($8.50)! The waffle fell short of expectations as its insides were doughy and undercooked, whilst its exterior was stale and sorely lacking crispness. The award winning flavours were interesting though! I found the blue pea lemongrass a tad artificial and sweet, but it is a unique flavour worth trying. I greatly enjoyed their oolong osmanthus!

My friend raved about Hvala’s buttermilk waffles ($11.80+), and they were truly very good!! The price is a tad steep, but well worth every penny. The waffles are crisp on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside. Topped with a drizzle of maple syrup, it’s definitely good enough to eat on its own! Opted for matcha ice cream - it was well rounded and strongly flavoured, so a little goes a long way. Would happily return for this!

Hvala ran out of dirty genmaicha by mid afternoon on a weekday, so we grudgingly opted for a matcha hojicha latte ($5.80+) instead. It is thick and lightly sweetened, with a lingering bitter finish. Pity that the hojicha is not very evident. Portion is a tad small but it is very satisfying!

Super happy to learn that TDG renewed their deals for burpple beyond because it’s one of my fave dessert places!! The single origin hot chocolate ($8.50) gives a choice of 5 intensities. We opted for the Costa Rica & Tanzania chocolate!

Was disappointed to learn that their outlet at Bugis had been removed from burpple beyond, but thankfully this outlet remained! Scored the triple A ($13.90, large) to share for dessert. The acai is smooth and distinctly flavoured, pairing well with granola, fruits and super foods. You even get a choice of sauce!

Really enjoy the ice cream here! They always have a large rotating offering of flavours, which makes every visit an experience. Opted to try their French waffles with a double scoop this time ($13)! The waffles are crisp on the outside and slightly fought on the inside, served with raspberry sauce and a dash of honey. We opted for pistachio, blueberry cheesecake, mocha mac nut and honey cinnamon!

I personally prefer their signature hot chocolate, which comprises a sweeter and thicker blend of chocolate. However, their single origin chocolate ($8.50) is a good alternative! The drink feels a little bit thinner, but I like how you can choose from 5 different intensities of cacao.

Chimney King ($8.90) really impressed us with its rich flavour and many dimensions! Retaining the crispy yet chewy walnut pastry base, it is topped with vanilla soft serve - creamy and specked with vanilla beans. It is studded with fudge brownie pieces and drizzled with chocolate & salted caramel sauce. The different textures and flavours worked really well together! Would definitely order this again ✌🏼🌟

Was suuuper intrigued when I saw this on chope! I haven’t seen any other stores selling chimney cakes thus far. A dessert originating from Hungary and popular throughout east Europe, it comprises a pastry base reminiscent of a cross between a doughnut and a croissant. Good Food tops theirs with ice cream, sorbet or whipped cream! The chimney pistachio ($7.90) is topped with chocolate soft serve and crusted with pistachio. The nuts made it a little messy to eat, but the ice cream was very smooth and rich!!

Muuuch prefer this to the outlet at Thomson!! The acai here is super rich and not at all icy. The triple A ($13.90) features acai layered with granola, seasonal fruit and plenty of superfoods. You get a choice of sauce, and my favourite is the cookie butter! Plus points for the friendly staff ✌🏼

Jumped at the chance to try Tsujiri’s limited edition item when they launched a flash 1-for-1 promotion!! This is the warabimochi parfait ($9.80). With a choice between matcha or vanilla, we got one of each. The matcha was dense and creamy, striking a good balance between sweet and bitter. The vanilla was a little icy but richly flavoured! The soft serve is layered with sweet whipped cream, rice crispies and (what tasted like hojicha) pudding. I was a little surprised because I expected more substantial / quality toppings for the steep price point, but these added dimension in both taste and texture. My faaavourite part of this parfait is the warabi mochi!! Tsujiri nailed the jelly consistency perfectly, and I enjoyed both the matcha and kinako.
