This tart is well balanced with its rich hazelnut cream and semi dark chocolate tart. I love how it's still on the sweeter side and it goes so well with a black English breakfast or Earl Grey tea. The nuts on top and the crisp tart give you that extra crunch to seal the deal.
SUPER DUPER LOVE THESE DESSERTS!!! These desserts are really sweet and recommended to be eaten after a savoury meal.
1. The tea syrup on top will trickle in as you dip your spoon into the super thick pudding. This will coat your spoonful of pudding perfectly and create this soft tea infused custard flavour.
2. The strawberry Frasier has different levels to it. At the bottom you have a baked biscuit crumble that is similar to a cheesecake consistency. Followed by the in-house made cream, then a layer of caramelized almonds and pecans, then cream again and finally topped with a slightly sour strawberry jam. Each layer can be eaten individually or all together and the dessert will not lose its flavour.
Unless you have a super high sweet tolerance, this dish is best enjoyed with company. You can choose to pair your crispy churros with the torched custard or the vanilla ice cream and nuts. My recommendation: eat a mouthful of the churros with custard and follow it with the ice-cream!!! Super duper delicious and your belly will definitely be happy after this treat.
The staff plated this dish so nicely and made me feel like I was ordering it from a high class dessert place.
The dish is layered with a creamy and thick seseme flavoured paste on the outside, followed by a white cream and finally some peanut fillings. This was well complemented by a not so sweet short crust pastry. Really enjoyed this pairing as the dish gets sweeter and sweeter the closer you get to the centre. Had to share this with my friends but definitely highly recommended to eat by itself.
