So, I recently realised that my absolute favourite ice cream is MOVENPICK (someone add the umlaut for me pls, that’s the two dots above the “o” haha). I don’t like milk at all, a childhood thing — but I LOVE cream. And Movenpick has all the creamy goodness you can ask for. If you’re in the city, pop by Marche for the experience (creepy bobble-head farm animals not withstanding), and have a delicious ice-cream from their savoury stall downstairs. ($6.30 a scoop after GST!)
Ahhhhh...the joys of little-plate sashimi, with free flow hot tea and conversations. I love having Sushi Express as a post-meal, meal. A heavy meal, and some palate cleansing in the form of sashimi. Heaven. $1.50 per plate!!
Seriously, I’m always on the lookout for great food that’s mind-bogglingly inexpensive, w decent service and good AMBIENCE. Saizeriya ticks ALL the boxes. This decent pasta is $3.90 before service charge! We got the Hamburger + Sausage too, that was $7.90. Will def be back.
Tasty soft serve from nasty cookie. A sweet end to a dinner. Have this if you’d like a simple soft serve done well (or miss IKEA’s haha). The topping is Biscoff! $3.20 per scoop.
Had the ebiko prawn w small flat noodles — the noodles are made fresh, and the tomato soup was tasty. Looks as great as it tastes. The egg was made to perfection. Used 1-for-1 here, $13.90 for two bowls.
Had two sandwiches but left after a terrible service. The saddest thing was that I’ve had great service here before. When I went to order at the counter at 330pm (they close at 5pm), I was told that the French toast & the pasta was “out of stock” despite it being a weekend, and these are two of their most well-loved food. As I’ve been waiting for my friend for a while now, I asked them why I wasn’t informed when I sat down. The reply, after telling me that “the staff forgot”? “You don’t have to eat here”. Which was appalling, to say the least. Not even an attempt at apology when I went back and said “I would appreciate it if I was informed when I sat down and the menu was given”. And proceeded to order anyway. Food that was served was decent, but gods, I will never step foot in there again. I believe it was the...owner? Who served me. She certainly didn’t seem like a staff.
