$21 // pricey, considering how the burger was kinda small but at least they gave 2 patties so i guess that made up for it.
as usual, really love impossible meat and the seasoning for this was great!! however, the swiss cheese sauce and “truffle” mayonnaise tasted almost the same, in a sour, ranch sauce kind of taste and there really was no truffle taste at all. (and the 2 sauces were just in different colors but taste was not distinguishable)
overall, was still a good dish and i’d probably have it again!!

$5.90 ($1 off for smu students) // really appreciate having healthy lunch options in this area!! (since the options of cheap + healthy are quite rare)
tried the vegetarian friendly bagel-wich, compromising of seasonal hummus, oven baked mushrooms and topped with grated cheese and fresh parsley. you can choose from a plain, sesame or onion bagel, and i opted for the onion one.
the freshly toasted onion bagel was fluffy (without being overly dense) and the onion flavor really added depth to each bite, especially when paired with the whole flavor profile of the mushrooms and hummus spread.
this was a quick, easy, value for money and really hearty lunch that i enjoyed thoroughly!! would definitely be back again

$8 for 5 pieces // yuMZ!!! meat free dumplings with a filling that was made up of spinach, tofu, shiitake, gochujang and korean pickles. the combination of textures from the filling made it feel like a regular pork dumpling and the flavors worked well with each other!! the dumplings were pan fried to perfection (living up to the namesake of this shop), even though it was a tad bit oily. the garlic aioli sauce had strong garlic flavors which went well with the dumplings. quite affordable for the quality (+ it’s rare to find veggie dumplings), would definitely be back!!

$6 + $1.50 for harajuku egg// very affordable given the high quality of this dish (and it’s meat-free nature)!! noodles were rly springy and chewy and there was a good portion of mushrooms, and each noodle strand was paired with the fried shallots so you get the perfect blend of chewy and crunchy!! downside is there is no miso taste at all in this dish but i guess it’s all been blended together, but the sauce was rly nice, with stronger mushroom/oyster sauce flavor.
this place tends to get very crowded during meal times so try not to come too late!!

$15++ // AMAZING AND I AM IN LOVE WITH IMPOSSIBLE MEAT 😍😍😍😍 it has the same texture as beef (which i rly missed) but without the meaty/bloody taste that i always tasted when i used to eat actual beef, so this was great cos i get to eat “beef” without feeling any guilt!! + it’s very environmentally friendly too so all the better :-))) and this dish had a very earthy/mushroom-y taste to it, not sure if it was from the sauce or the meat but overall a great dish!!

rly love prive for its gorgeous restaurant decor (this one was a garden/outdoor setting with a backdrop of fairy lights which made it so magical) and high quality food. i also tried the chili crab pasta, chili & lime salmon, truffled mushroom pizza, oreo mudpie and hummingbird cake (what a mass consumption kind of day, come to think of it) and all the dishes were really amazing as well in terms of taste, quality, flavor combinations and texture. despite the relatively steep prices, i can’t wait to come back for more!!
