One of the more robust Kim Chi soups I have had.

Everything served up here is nothing by fresh !

Excellent and authentic Korean food nestled in the sunset way enclave.

Fancy a quick waffle fix around the farrer park-rochor area? Check out Aphrodite along Desker Road. They have pretty classic favorites like the roasted pistachio and a little more interesting flavors such as blue cheese chocolate and blood orange sorbet. Can’t really taste the blue cheese in the chocolate, perhaps they are really try to play safe as it could be make or break kind of flavor. But could taste the bittersweet of the chocolate. They also have an unnamed flavor whereby if you guess the key ingredients of the flavor correctly, you’re entitled to a free scoop of it.

Their ice creams belongs to the milky and creamier end. Even their blood orange sorbet is unlike the typical sorbet with a refreshing slushie kind of texture but it’s kind of creamy. Will advise to pair a light flavor if you’re getting 2 scoops unless you love gao flavored ice cream.

While for their waffles, it’s a little burnt and on the crispy side of things but less the fluffiness. Enjoy 2 scoops or 2 waffles at the price of 1 with Burpple beyond too.

This is from a relatively newer Korean eatery @yogiyosg at Beauty World. Verdict of seafood pancake: it’s really one huge pancake, much larger than the kimchi version. However it scored points for being both crispy and chewy. The seafood pieces were great too.

I think buying the set is much worth, as it comes with a drink and dumplings of your choice. The portions were generous and I could easily share 3 sets with 4-5 people. 👍🏻
Will definitely come back with friends as i think night time would have a better mood there.

Waaa this was super good. The quality and texture of the gelato was amazing, easily one of the better gelatos I’ve had in SG - it’s up there with venchi & dopa dopa. It’s very smooth and creamy and full-bodied, texture is on point. I actually prefer their pistachio compared to venchi’s, as the texture is similar but venchi’s is much sweeter. The tiramisu was sufficiently boozy, it’s good too! There’s some baileys soaked ladyfingers folded into the tiramisu gelato.

Definitely coming back to try their other flavours! Not sure why this is not more well-known, but I’m not complaining since I get to enjoy the gelato in a nice tranquil environment. Also, the pricing is such that you pay depending size of the cup ($5 / $8) with top-ups for premium / alcoholic flavours. In each cup you can choose different flavours (i.e. $5 cup choose 1-2 flavours, $8 cup choose 2-3 flavours) which is good bc we can try a greater variety of flavours without getting too full from toooo much ice cream!

🍰Don’t go without trying their cake desserts, because you will totally love their cakes! 💗

💜Orh Nee Cake ($7.90): Beautiful lilac shade of cream with smooth yam puree with light soft sponge cake. Natural sweetness and it didnt taste artificial at all!

💚Ondeh Ondeh Cake ($7.90): Another cake that you should not missed! Gula Melaka coconut strips layered in between light pandan sponge cake. This cake was sweeter than the orh nee cake, but not super sinful too.

Do drop by the area to check out their delicious and affordable food! Do also follow them on IG to check out their latest promotions!

All the way to Alexandra to try, didn't disappoint! Kimchi ramyeon soup is thick, beef is thin sliced so its good! Spicy Pork rice bowl is really sumptuous. Very generous portion generally, thank you! Will surely patronise again! 😉 😉

Couldn’t resist to swing by this new rooftop cafe near home at Hillview! Their indoor seats are in a photogenic red-white tiled space, while if you’re outdoors, there’s the greenery view (but it gets quite hot). The menu has both cafe staples and a number of fusion/local-inspired dishes.

The chili crab sauce base was mostly tomatoey with a sweeter tang. We didn’t get much of the chilli crab flavour and the poached egg could be more runny. Fried mantous had a great crunch though! It was a miss for us but it might be just our plate, as I know friends who’ve had a good experience.

Despite the queue - we waited just about 20min, the service was attentive and warm. Perhaps good to hold from visiting now though, to let the crowd ease out!

Coffee break @coexistcoffee.

Hidden on the rooftop level of the industrial building, take the elevator to the 7th floor and climb the stairs up to the 8th floor. If you’re in Bukit Timah for a hike, here’s a cafe for you to check out.

Using a self-roasted in-house blend, expect a more floral-acidy tang note for the White ($5.50/iced). So if you prefer nutty chocolaty note, opt for their Dirty Houjicha and Dirty Matcha ($6.50

This is $17 nett and with Beyond 1for1 this is beyond amazing value.

All components were nicely executed.
Especially loved the bacon which was like 95% lean meat😍

French toast and Red Velvet latte were 💯 too !!

Hope this fantastic new place gains more crowd soon ❤️

Having not tried the donuts from Simple Cafe because they were simply sold out during my first visit there, we found it hard to resist ourselves from getting one when we made our subsequent return visit recently.

Recalled that there were quite a number of flavours offered previously; the Kaya variant being one that really intrigued me considering my love for Kaya Butter Toast. That being said, there were only two flavours which were being offered at Simple Cafe on the very day we made our visit — Milk Tea and Vanilla. Opting for the former, we found the donuts here to be very good — coming in the Bombolini form that had recently been very popular, the bread comes light, fluffy, chewy and firm; dusted with sugar on the exterior for a slight sweetness. Inside, the donut comes generously filled with milk tea cream; the cream itself carrying a distinct, roasty hint of tea aroma — creamy and smooth and also being pretty decadent overall.

Still pretty much in love with the Taiwanese vibes at Simple Cafe — a very minimalist, yet relaxing vibe that is homey and puts one at ease. Their bakes and cakes are still pretty stellar — one of those cafes which I will always think of heading to for some quality cakes and coffee whenever I am in the West!

It's always brunch time at this quaint cafe along Roberston Quay! Fuel up with their Brekkie of Champions ($24.50), with a platter of eggs any style, maple bacon, vine tomatoes, roast mushrooms, baked beans, sidecar sausage and crispy, fluffy brioche toast or opt for their classic Eggs Benedict Rodyk Style ($21.50) served with smoked salmon. Your sweet tooth will rejoice with the Toby's French Toast ($16.50) which sees eggy brioche bread topped with berries compote and served with maple syrup and espresso bacon.
